Romeo and Juliet dance

It's been a week since everything has happened. Josh was arrested for sexual assault but his came out on bail but his not allowed back at school. Jai has been saying hi to me every now and then but I ignore for my reputations sake. I have been meeting up with Jai though for dance rehearsal.

The lovely headteacher told us we had to perform a dance at assembly based on Romeo and Juliet. Our head of the school picked that because some guy is coming in to talk about William Shakespeare.

"Jai this is our last rehearsal before going out in front of everyone in 5 minutes so please do this correctly" I plead to him.

"Sorry, I will do it probably" He said in a cocky way.

We did our dance for the last time and every time he touched me I felt shocks run through my body. I kept smiling from his touch. I took Jai's hand as we waited for our introduction to go on.

"Ready?" Jai whispers in my ear.

"I've been doing this since I was little so I should be" I smile at him.

"That's I lie" He mutters under his breath.

"What?" I ask him.

"It's time to go on, I said" He chuckles to me.

We walk out to everyone and the crowd started to cheer. We went into our positions. I look at him as he looks at me and I did had gesture to tell him to keep his eyes on me the whole time. He nods then we bow our heads. The song started to play.

He grabs my hand and we started to dance. I looked in his eyes and it felt like it was just us and no one else here. We did the lifts at perfect time as our body went along with the rhythm of the beat.

The song started to die down as we got to our finish position. The song finished and the crowed was roaring. I jumped up so did Jai and I gave him a hug. He hugged me back as we rocked side to side.

"You were amazing" I told him.

"You were outstanding" He says while smiling to me.

We pull away and walk off stage. My friends were waiting for me here so was Jai's friends. They ran up to me and hugged me tight as they were saying how great I was.

"Oh My God! I thought you guys were a real couple when you were dancing" Chels squealed out.

I felt Jai snake is arm around my back. I look up and gave him a smile. Jai and Ash. Ash and Jai. It suits together, we suit together and I want to be with him but I can't risk my status for him.

"Ash, I'm throwing a sleepover tonight do you want to come?" Vicky asks me.

"I have work to do and rehearsal for dance with Jai" I told them.

"Okay also mum and dad won't be home, Ash" Chels said giving me a hug.

I told Jai we could practice at my house as I have a dance studio we can use. He was unsure to come or not but he did anyway. I open the door and melody came bouncing out while barking. I picked her up and took her to the kitchen.

"Let me do Melody's dinner then we can rehearse" I informed Jai as he nod.

I poured the dried food for Melody and placed it down for her. I ran over to Jai and grabbed his hand as I took him upstairs to the dance studio. I opened the door as I let go of Jai's hand. I picked up my note book and pen to write down some dancing techniques. I took a seat on the floor.

"Hey come and sit with me" I say smiling.

"Okay, so what are we doing?" He asks as he sat next to me.

"Writing down some dance routines for our next piece" I told him.

My hair fell in front of my face as I wrote down some notes. Jai helped me by suggesting ideas which were good. We chose to do hip hop next. Which I'm excited for.

"Where are you?" He mutters to himself.

"I'm right here silly" I chuckle to him.

/Flashback\

"I'm right here silly" I shout jumping out to the little brown haired boy.

"You might stay hiding until I found you" He says annoyed.

"But I was lonely without best friend" I say giving him a hug.

We started to play IT instead because I didn't want to be by myself. After playing for a while we got tired, so we sat on a bench. A girl my age came over with beautiful blonde hair.

"Hey guys" She waves at us but mainly to him. "Can I join?"

"No" I spat at her.

"Yes, you can sorry about Ash she isn't good at making friends" He says to her.

"Come on let's go on the slide" She squealed.

She grabs his hand and runs off with him. I sit on the bench by myself without my best friend. Of course he would like her and not me, I'm only his friend. I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous or had no feelings for him.

I got up and walked over to the ducks as I watched them waddle around. I started to cry because I lost my best friend and my crush. The ducks looked at me with such sorrow.

"Will you be my best friend?" I ask them.

"I thought I was your best friend" I turned to the side and saw Him next to me.

"What happened with her then?" I barked at him.

"Aww are you jealous? Plus I didn't like being with her because you weren't there" He smiles to me.

"Oh" I whispered.

"Ash I have to tell you something, I love you" He says to me.

I can't breath, I'm crying my eyes out. These day dreams or whatever they are scaring me. I felt someone hold me close as I cry.

"Ash, talk to me! Ash say something! Ash doing something" I hear Jai shout.

"I'm sorry" I whispered to him.

I sit up as Jai kept hold of me. The last tears fell down as I got breathing controlled again. I look at Jai who looks worried and scared.

"What was that about?" He asks me.

"I keep having these day dreams about me as a kid with this brown haired boy who's like my best friend! I'm so confused" I tell him.

"They could be flashbacks"

Flashbacks! Is my life fake? Was my childhood different to it was before? Who am I?
