Loyalty

I woke up to find myself in my room. My head is aching so is my body. I feel terrible but I don't feel sick anymore. I look around and I see no here. I try to get up but my body aches to much for to do.

"Hello" I shout. "Jai"

I hope that Jai was still here. No one came so I chose to get out of bed. I ignored the pain as I went downstairs. I saw everyone talking in the living room. I sat on the stairs to hear the conversation.

Dad: "Does she remember then?"

Jai: "She had this out burst after the dance competition saying he remembered me"

Mum: "Shes gonna be a tomboy again all I want is a girly girl in the family"

Jai: "You should be happy you have her in your life! I am because I love h-"

Mum: "You don't know what love is I bet after the accident you moved on"

Jai: "Since that day I haven't even spoke to another girl, my eyes are only set on one who's your daughter"

I walked in to the room, they all looked at me shocked. I sat down on the sofa, mum was about to speak but I lifted my hand to her no. I looked at everyone before letting out a sigh.

"You lied to me! You made me seen like I was going crazy" I stated to them. "Jai, I'm not blaming you because I understand that you needed the money also you kept giving me hints that they were flashbacks. You guys as my parents sent me to this house which told me I was crazy"

"Oh honey-"

"Don't honey me" I snap "these past 3 years have been a lie! My friends aren't my friends they were my bullies. I was picked on by Chelsea because I had Jai. I didn't fall off my bike and hit my head, I was on a swing then I jumped off it and cracked my head."

I watch mum sit up while staring at me with such anger and shock. I look at dad but he looked disappointed not with him but himself. I felt sorry for dad because I knew he wanted to tell me but mum wouldn't allow him too.

"Tell me the truth" I shouted at them.

"Your crazy! Whatever Jai said to is a lie, I think I know my daughter better than anyone! Its all in your head, their just dreams" Mum explains to me.

"Bullshit and you all know it" I screamed.

I stood up and pointed at them with my body shaking. Tears were streaming down my face as I look at them. Mum looked disgusted with my language. Dad sat there looking defensive and not able to speak. I dare not to look at Jai.

"Help me! Don't lie to me" I cried out to them.

"I'm telling th-"

"Cut the rubbish Moira, she needs to know" Dad says standing up.

"Patrick, don't you dare tell her" Mum spat at him.

"When you were 13 there was accident and you hit your erm head which made you lose your memory from that day. Your mum and I paid your friends to stay away from you which include Jai. We got you know friends who were your bullies but it worked until you remembered. When we saw you find some evidence we would burn it or delete to make sure you don't remember" Dad confess to me.

"Why?" I snapped at them.

"I wanted my daughter to be girly not a tomboy! Plus I didn't approve your friends at all" Mum argued with me.

"So I'm fake! I'm not who people say I am, everyone is fake apart from Jai."

"I guess that's true" Dad mumbles.

"Goodbye" I growled at them.

I dashed upstairs while they called my name. I quickly chucked everything into my suitcase. I can't be in the same house with people who are fake to me. Its wrong to think my family would do this to me.

They can go and fudge themselves.

After clearing my wardrobe and draws, I dashed the money I have been saving in my pocket. The money has been saved for me to go to New York. I have got $1000 but I can't go until I'm 18.

I pulled my suitcase downstairs where my parents are looking at me with sad eyes. I carried on walking until mum grabbed my arm. I yanked my arm back as I walked out the door. It hit me with a ton a bricks, I can't drive unless I have someone with me.

"Ash!" I heard Jai yell my name.

I whip turn quickly, which made us collide into each other. I ended up falling but he caught my waist. I looked up as I gave him a smile. He build me back up while still holding my waist. He leans over to my ear where I felt his hot breath tickle my ear.
