"Why do you think I came here looking like I was about to attend a party?" I giggle. He smirks.

"I don't know, why is that?"

"Because I was hoping to see you as well."

"I want to take you somewhere. Maia. You don't have to worry, I'm always going to protect you." He's gone into gang mode. His voice deepens and it has a threatening undertone. he had authority and it made me nervous. He gives me his helmet and sits on the bike, motioning for me to join him.

"Oh god." I put the helmet on but it was too big. He leans over and helps me tighten it, whilst laughing.  "Don't let me die."

I sit behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. As I lean into him, I feel the muscles in his back tighten. I have my cheek pressed against the leather jacket, and I begin to pray for the best. "Hold on tight love." He turns the bike on and pulls out of the diner parking lot, fast. I try to hold in my screams, and I can hear him laughing. The wind would carry the beautiful sound into the world, blessing the ears of those who might hear it. I had known him not long, and here I was on the back of his bike, so close to him. Why, why did he have to be so bad for me?
