Glorfindel opened his eyes as the actors finished the first tale of the celebration. He smiled faintly when an elfling looked at him and started to jump up and down, pulling on her parent's hand. The ellon looked at his daughter.
"Ada! He awake!" The little one's announcement brought Elrond and another healer to attention. They hovered over him as they checked him. He simply went with it.
"Are you in pain, Glorfindel?" Elrond's question was met with a a small shake of the golden head. Elrond's eyebrow rose in disbelief but he simply sat in his chair next to Glorfindel. Erestor laughed at the smiling elf that was making a face at the other healer.
"Welcome back to the land of the living." Erestor greeted the warrior.
"Wh, what... ever." Glorfindel managed to force out, still smiling like an idiot. Lindir dropped his instrument in shock and many of the gathered elves stared in shock. Elrond rolled his eyes as he poured some water for Glorfindel and held it to his lips.
"Drink." Elrond ordered. Glorfindel drank some and found his throat didn't hurt as much.
"Thank you."
"Is it true that you killed a Balrog?"
"Are you really Glorfindel of Gondolin?"
"What house of the Vanyarians were you?"
Those were only some of the questions shot at him by the group. He laughed before Erestor silenced the group.
"Well, are you going to answer them?" Lindir sounded like a little kid on Christmas.
"I did fight a Balrog. I am a Lord from Gondolin. I am from the House of Air. Yes, I was reborn. No, I don't know how to cook. My favorite color is green. I like to sleep?" Glorfindel tried to answer all the questions that he was asked.
"Can you read?" Glorfindel shook his head.
"Why not? My nana makes me read!" The little elfling was pouting.
"I never had to read. The elvish I grew up speaking had no written form and I never learned how to read because I always had people that would read it to me." Glorfindel's explanation caused some of the elves to laugh and others to stare in shock. "It was well documented that I couldn't read or write. Seriously, Rog made sure that everyone knew that fact so that no one would forget and write to me then get upset that I didn't respond."
The scribes all shares looks.
"We thought it was a joke."
