Two days flew past since the 'intrusion accident', as Taehyung liked to call it, occurred.
The friendship both boys had started to develop was put on hold, now only consisting of frosty glances on Taehyung's part and complete silence on the latter's.
The attacks only got worse, with an increased number of scars and carved messages on Taehyung's body, warnings mostly, of the atrocities his other self would implement on their caretaker if he was not gotten rid of soon, and quickly. But he hadn't done anything.
Yet.
The third day found both of them sitting in the, now spotless, living room, eating identical bowls of ramen (Jungkook had gone grocery shopping the day before) and watching a random Chinese martial arts movie.
Jungkook had his eyes glued to the screen, analyzing the progress of the fight, while Taehyung stared off into the distance, the latest message muling over in his head.
...Listen to me, or else....
He glanced at the younger, too preoccupied in the movie, and realized that he had had enough of this iciness between them.
Getting up from his secluded corner, he moved over to where Jungkook was located on the double seater.
Jungkook looked a little surprised as Taehyung lay down with his head on his lap, face towards the screen, but chose to not comment on it.
After a while, Taehyung muttered, "This movie is crap. What else is coming on?"
The latter began flipping the channels, coming to a stop when he saw the familiar face of a certain yellow sponge on the screen.
Both of them snorted at 'No, this is Patrick!'
Taehyung sighed and, pushing himself into a sitting position, took the remote from Jungkook's hand and turned the television off, to which the latter protested.
Taking a deep breath, Taehyung looked into the younger boy's eyes. "We need to talk." he said.
Jungkook slowly nodded.
"Go on."
"About what happened the day before yesterday...." Taehyung rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm sorry I yelled at you."
Jungkook smiled and replied, "I'm sorry I didn't listen to you in the first place. So you don't have to be sorry at all."
Taehyung ignored his statement and continued, "It's just, I really don't want you getting hurt and it really scared me that you saw that person, and you're like, the first person that I have come into good terms in a long time and I honestly have no one else in my life, and I know you're just doing your job but to me, you are family and-"
Jungkook placed a finger on the latter's lips, stopping him mid sentence.
"Did you think I only thought of you as an employer?" He asked.
To Taehyung's nod, he replied with a playful shove on the shoulder.
"Idiot!" He laughed. "You're honestly so dense, Taehyung. You mean as much to me as I do to you, probably more, Y'know? So stop whining like a two year old."
Taehyung couldn't help but grin at the younger boy's insults.
"And what's all this about me getting hurt? I'm an adult and took my fair share of Taekwondo classes when I was younger."
Taehyung lifted his eyebrows. "Really?"
"Yup. You're looking at a black belt, baby." Jungkook gestured to himself, making Taehyung laugh.
"Alright, alright." He shook his head in bemusement. "But promise me you won't do it again."
Jungkook nodded. "I promise."
It was as if they hadn't had their quarrel at all.
But Taehyung still had a deep rooted sense of uncertainty implanted in his heart.
Make him go away. Listen to me, or else.
