Okay, but you guys, imagine this: Naomi and Jordan sitting on the roof together having a deep, late-night conversation, talking about how the world is such an unfair place and how it feels like everything is against them. Imagine Naomi telling Jordan that his blindness can't stop him while he silently worries about how much it'll affect him in the future. Imagine Jordan repeatedly telling Naomi that she's beautiful and loved and wanted while she cries into his shoulder because she knows, deep down, that she never was good enough and she never will be. Imagine the both of them being heartbroken because they know that the other one is hurting, and comforting each other because they feel like they're the only ones who can relate to each other.
Imagine: Naomi and Declan, who are already dating, have a massive argument and Naomi practically cries herself to sleep that night because she's sad and upset and she knows she can't go to Declan because he's mad at her, but then, just before she goes to sleep, Declan shows up at her house because although they fought, he knows she still needs him and he needs her, and he doesn't want her to go to sleep feeling unloved or unwanted. So he sings her to sleep that night and they both sleep together.
Imagine: Naomi is sick, so Bennett doesn't let her go to school, and instead skips school himself to stay with her at her house. He makes her soup and hot chocolate and they snuggle up on the couch together and watch movies and every so often, Bennett looks over at Naomi thinking "how can she not see that I'm completely fucking in love with her?"
Imagine: Parker, sitting at home thinking about how he wishes he could've changed what he did. Meanwhile, Naomi is lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling while she thinks about the first time she ever fell in love, and how much it hurt her. And she thinks she'll never be able to fall in love again.
Imagine: Naomi sitting alone late at night, letting her negative thoughts consume as she thinks about how life will always be this way. She'll always be the one who nobody likes. She'll always be bullied and people will always try to hurt her. And she doesn't try to stop the tears as she hugs her knees to herself and allows her thoughts to continue to punish her. Meanwhile, Raymond lies in bed, staring at the ceiling while the guilt crushes him like a pile of bricks. He thinks back to everything he's done to Naomi throughout all those years, and how much she hates him. And he knows, deep down, that he deserves it.
Imagine: Naomi waking up from a coma after she was beat up by a bunch of the boys at school, and the boys, who hadn't left her room at all except for one person at a time to go get food and bring it back, all crowd around her and she is covered in hugs and kisses as she cried into their shoulders because she didn't know they actually cared about her. And they are all constantly telling her how much they love her and none of them want to let go of her.
Imagine: Naomi practically squashing herself against Bennett's side during a scary movie in an attempt to feel safer, while Bennett just chuckles and puts an arm around Naomi, pulling her closer and kissing the top of her head.
Imagine: Jordan making a painting for Naomi in color, but since he has colorblindness, the colors are all messed up. Naomi thinks it's the most beautiful thing she's ever seen.
Imagine: Declan sitting in his room, tugging at his hair in frustration while he silently wishes Naomi would just notice how much he loves her. And imagine Naomi sitting in her own room, crying into the pillow because the boy she loves could never and will never love her back.
Imagine: A sad and depressed Naomi, sitting with the guys, talking and laughing like nothing is wrong while she silently begs them to see her for the fraud that she is.
Imagine: Jordan and Naomi talking about their plans for the future while Jordan drops subtle hints about how much it'll involve her, both because he wants to marry her and because he wants her to know that there's hope for her future.
Imagine: Naomi, heartbroken and lonely after she and Parker broke up, sitting on the roof of the base wondering if anyone will ever love a girl like her. And then the guys all come up to see her crying and upset and, after much convincing, she finally tells them why. They immediately shower her in hugs and comforting words and make her promise them that she'll never think that way again.
Imagine: Raymond shoving her into the lockers with a large crowd of people gathered around, and telling her "no one will ever love you." And she doesn't even object to him because she already knows it's true. And then Jordan shoves his way through the crowd shouting "I love her!"
Imagine: They all sit around a campfire in the middle of the woods after telling scary stories, promising each other they'll be together forever.
But then, imagine the heart-breaking feeling when Naomi realizes that they are drifting apart. That they aren't talking to each other as much anymore and they aren't spending as much time together, and when she tries to get them all to hang out again, everyone has an excuse not to. So she can't do anything but watch her friendship crumble and fall to pieces as her best friends slowly stopped talking to her and their friendship slowly died.
And then imagine the absolute heartache she feels when she's twenty five, and she's walking to a nearby bakery to get breakfast. She passes one of the boys on her way, and she stops walking, wondering whether she should say hi to him or not. But then, she continues on her way once she realizes that if she has to ponder whether or not to say hi to him, they've grown too far apart.
And imagine the boy, taking a quick glance at her and wishing he could run up to her and hug her and restart their friendship, but noticing that she doesn't even bother to say hi. So instead, he turns back around, thinks to himself "I hope life treats her well. I still love her," and continues to walk.
You guys, I actually almost cried while writing the ending because I'm really not good at handling sad endings. Anyways, hope you enjoyed it :) If you want me to make any of them into an actual oneshot, please let me know :D
