Chapter Twelve

Jason's POV

The guys were over today and we were just hanging out talking about random stuff. About an hour into a random conversation Keeley came in. “Hi daddy!!” She looked around. “Hi everyone!!” She waved and they all said hi to her. “Hey honey.” I was confused. “I asked mom to drop me off.” “Oh I see.” “Are you busy?” “Nope.” “Ok I'll be in my room.” “Is everything ok?” “Yeah, I just wanted to be with you.” “Mhm should I call Kristen and tell her to drop Jackson off?” I asked. “Yes!” She smiled. “I mean.. Yeah that's cool.. He’s cool.” “Alright honey.” She walked away and I shook my head. “She likes him huh?” Luke asked. “No, not like that, they just like to hang out together.” I took out my phone and called Kristen. “Hi Jason!!” She answered. “Hey Kris.” “What's up?” “Keeley just wanted to know if Jack wanted to come over?” “Um hold on.” “Jackson do you wanna go to Mr Williams house?” “Sure.” “Hello?” “Yes.” “I'll drop him off in..” “Mom can we get cheeseburgers first?!” “Yes!” “Thank you!!” “We'll be there in an hour ok Jase?” “Ok.” “Alright see you in a little bit.” “Ok.” We hung up and I put my phone in my pocket. “So?” Tyler started. “Did you ever tell her that you like her?” “No.. But we spend a lot of time together..” Someone rang the doorbell. “Excuse me.” I got up and went and answered the door. “It was my friend Riley, her husband Jim, their two boys Tanner and Silvester and three other kids. “Hey Jason.” “Hey come in.” I said letting them in. We went to the kitchen and I sat on a stool. “Jason these are Silvester's friends Mac, Felix, and Jack.” “Hey..” “Daddy?” Keeley said coming into the kitchen. “Hey Mrs Riley.” She waved and looked at me. “Daddy I need you.” “Ok..” We went into the hallway. “What's up?” “Can you come up to my room?” “Sure but what's the matter.” She didn't say anything until we got up to her room. “Daddy Tanner is mean.” “Honey?” I was confused because they grew up together. He's older than her but they were always together. “Honey.” “Dad he's a jerk.. Like you should see him at school.” “Honey he isn't going to be like that with you alright?” “Yeah.” She exhaled. “Alright what did you need?” “I just wanted to know if you called Jackson?” “Yeah, he and his mom went to get burgers.” “Ooh ok.” She sat on her bed so I went back down to everyone. “Is she alright?” Willie asked. “Yeah.” We all talked to Riley and her kids until I heard the door. “Excuse me.” I went to the door and opened it, it was Kristen and Jackson. “Hey Mr Williams!” Jackson said. “Hey bud.” Kristen was holding Cassie. “Y'all come on in.” I stepped aside and let them in. “Hey Jase.” Kristen said. “Hey are you ok?” She seemed a little off. “Yeah.” “Mom and Cassie aren't feeling well today.” Jackson added. “Oh no what's wrong?” “It's too hot.” She gave Cassie to me. “Heat bothers you?” I adjusted Cassie so her head was on my shoulder. “No, I woke up with a stomach ache and the heat is making it worse.” “Oh I'm sorry.” “It's alright.” “Come on.” They followed me to the kitchen. They spoke to everyone then Jackson went and stood next to Kristen. “Ooh ok yeah.. Here baby.” She went into the bag she was holding and took out a box. I'm guessing it was food. “Thanks mom.” “You're welcome baby.” She exhaled and slid the bag over to me. “There's something in there for Keeley.. If she wants it.” “Thank you.” “I got you something too if you want it.. I didn't know everyone was here else I would have gotten everyone something..” “Ma ma..” Cassie sat up. “Mamas here baby.” Kristen said looking at her. “Eh..” She spotted the bag of food and went for it. “Jason there's some fries for her in there, would you mind feeding them to her?” “Nah I don't mind.” I got them out of the bag and gave her one. “No Jase you have to bite the tips off else she'll choke.” “Oh..” I got the fry from her and broke the tips off and gave it back to her. “It's easier to just bite them off Jason.” Kristen said looking around.
