"Sharna, every time I was with Hayley meant absolutely nothing. Honestly." He whispered the last word as he got down on he knee. "Sharna," Artem pulled out the ring I threw at him. "Will you re-marry me?"

Sharna's mind went absolutely blank. "A-Artem, I'm...I'm going to need some time to think about this, I mean, how am I--"

"Babe," Artem stopped her. "I'll give you all the time you need." He placed his hands on her forearms.

"Thank you."

~~~~~
"He re-proposed to you?!" Peta exclaimed when Sharna got back to their house.
"Yeah! And I don't know what to do! He betrayed me once, how do I know he won't do it again?!" Sharna started pacing.
"Shar, look at me." Peta halted her pacing. "This stress in no way healthy for either one of you." She led Sharna's hand to her stomach. "Now, let's sit down and be rational about this."
Sharna sat next to Peta. "I want him back in my life, but trust, and..."
"Okay, Sharna, here's what you should do. Accept his proposal, and know that rebuilding trust takes time, but you two are meant to be together, and he will be by you through every step of the way." Peta explained.
Gosh, she knew what she was talking about.
Sharna nodded. "I'm going to go accept his proposal." Sharna got into her car and drove.
~~~~~

With shaky hands, Sharna knocked on Artem's apartment door. He answered almost immediately.

"Hi."

"Hi." Sharna said, nervously. "Alright. Artem, yes. I accept your re-proposal."

Artem beamed and gently spun Sharna around. "I love you."

"I love you too!" A few tears filled her eyes.

You know what they say about history repeating itself? And how that's normally hell? This is starting to feel like it'll be better than ever.
