When you have a baby, it's almost like a fire, lighting the start to a one year countdown.
One year to learn, forgive, grow, and overall, make some killer memories.
Because after one year old, you'll learn about how quickly they grow up.
The start of Ember Rose's one year countdown was not an ideal one, that's for sure. She wasn't really the best for sleeping all the way through the night, nor was she the best at sleeping soundly for more than an hour for that matter.
"I'll get her." Sharna said, cries filling the hallway.
That was the norm. Artem always said that he would handle Ember that hour, but Sharna always refused. Maybe that's why he loved her so much. She was always so independent.
"Aw, Baby, come here." She picked her own daughter up and started to rock her back and forth until her crying died down.
Sharna kept Ember in her arms for a few minutes after she had fallen back asleep. Everything from her Sharna blue eyes to her little tiny toes was perfect. And my gosh, had the two girls come a long way together?
All of a sudden, a pair of arms wrapped around Sharna's waist, making her flinch.
"Sorry, Babe." Artem's raspy whisper responded. Sharna figured he was still half asleep.
"No, you're good." Sharna whispered, laying Ember down.
"I'm so proud of you." His whisper said once more.
"Why?"
"Just...everything." The two got back under the covers as Artem kissed her forehead.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
They ended up bringing Ember into there room with them. Sharna put a picture of Ember on Instagram with the caption "sleepless nights and so worth it. Our precious Ember Rose💕🌹."
