Sharna's POV
I texted Peta, Val, and Maks and asked them to meet me at Olive Garden. I was going to tell them that I accepted Artem's re-proposal. I pulled into Olive Garden and Maks and Peta were already there. I said "hey thanks for coming. Where's Val?" Maks said "Lord only knows. That man takes 2 hours to get ready." Peta and I both laughed at that. Peta said "oh he's pulling in now." When Val got out and walked over to us we all walked into the restaurant. Once we ordered I said "I guess your wondering why I asked to meet you guys." Val said "yeah. What is it?" I said "I met with Artem. He explained to me that everything with Hayley never meant anything to him. He said that he wishes he could take it back. Then he proposed to me again. I told him I needed to think about it. Then I talked to Peta and she made me more confident in my decision. So I accepted it." Val said "really Sharna? How could you do this? He's just going to end up hurting you again. The next time he does I won't be there to help you." Maks said "Valentin, what's wrong with you?" Val said "she's just setting herself up to be hurt again." Peta said "Valentin, you leave right now. This is something that she needs. She loves him and wants to give him the benefit of the doubt." Val got up and walked out. Peta said "don't listen to him babe. I think you made the right decision." Maks said "I agree."

~that night
Sharna's POV

I went back to Artem's apartment and told him about Val's reaction he told me not to worry about it and that he would come around eventually. I hope.

It wasn't until I was about to fall asleep next to Artem that same night when everything hit me like a ton of bricks. My best friend on planet Earth is borderline shunning me for a decision I needed to make for myself. I couldn't lose Val! Oh my gosh! Hot tears started falling down my cheeks as my breathing became unsteady. Thankfully, Artem came in just in time to save me.

He calmed me down and reassured me that we'd be alright. I hope that works out too. Artem also figured I would need sleep after the last few days like this, so that's what I did. I laid comfortably in his embrace and fell asleep.

Just like the old times. Just like the times before.
