Where it Started

Sharna's POV

"You've got to tell him, Babe." Peta calmly explained through my cell phone speaker.

"I know, I know, but..." Before I could finish my sentence, Peta said "there are no buts. He needs to know. He's the baby's Dad."

"I know. I'll tell him tonight at dinner." I sighed.

Peta said "Good."

"Wait, but Peta--" I began again, only to be cut off. She said, "no you're telling him. That's final." I said "fine, you're  right."

Sharna's POV

Artem and I are sitting at the table eating dinner. He said "I have to tell you something." I looked at him with concern in my eyes. He said "this is something I wish I never had to say to you... I've been having an affair."

I stood up from my chair and yelled "get out of my house now." I threw my engagement ring at him and stormed out of the kitchen. I ran downstairs to the garage and got in my car and drove to Maks and Peta's house. When I got to the door I knocked.

Peta opened and said "oh babe, what happened?"

I said sobbing, "He... he... he cheated on me. I kicked him out of the house and threw my ring at him and stormed down to my car and drove here."

She said "oh, Love, I'm so sorry." She pulled me into a hug and Maks came down. He said "who do I need to kill?" Peta said "I'll explain it to you. Shar do you want some Shai snuggles?"

I said "of course." I went up to the nursery and Shai was laying in his crib playing. I picked him and sat in the chair with him. I started rocking and within 5 minutes he was asleep. I kept rocking and just sat there. I was thinking how this will be in 6 months with my own child.
