~My friend Alex and I went to a writer's camp for a full week a while back, and it was fun! It was a full "school day" from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. We learned several different types of writing there, Haiku, Rhyming, Blackout, and more! These are 10 Haiku Poems from our Nature Haiku writing class with Cindy.

For those of you who don't know, a Haiku is a poem with a strict structure. It has 3 lines. The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the last line also has 5 syllables.~

Haiku #1: Nature Job
Do you like your job?
Nature with the starry sky?
"Yes" you say "It's nice"

Haiku #2: Soulful Music
Music for your soul
caressing you in its arms
in nature, playing

Haiku #3: Water
The smell of water
the feel of it on your face
old as time itself

Haiku #4: The Ocean
The many waves splash
the many seals bark happy
the fresh seaweed green

Haiku #5: Music Everywhere
The sound of music
everywhere around us
just listen and hear

Haiku #6: Starry Sky
Go outside at night
look up to the starry sky
breath taken away

Haiku #7: Loving Soil
Feel rich deep soil
hugging your toes from under
feeding you its love

Haiku #8: Hug That Tree
Hug that tree tightly
it will try to talk to you
listen, it may help

Haiku #9: A small Mark
That bush you crawled through
it left a small mark on you
look for it and see

Haiku # 10: Happy Memories
You played with your friends
under that old happy tree
you made memories
