"You're not calling me the right thing"
I know
I really do know
But it's uncomfortable
It's not right
Why do I feel this way?
Why is it so hard?
"You're right, sorry"
I give them as meaningful and genuine smile as I can, and fake the rest
After all
I'm an actress
People only know
What I want them to
It's annoying
Why?
Maybe it's because
I've known who I am
For a long time
I don't often doubt who I am
I haven't yet
It doesn't feel like I will
I can't say for sure though
So when I see someone who cares
To the point that they have to change
The way you say
ANYTHING about them
I have to suppress my emotions
Bottle them up
Not leak a drop
Of course sometimes it's hard
I can't always hide it
But that's not as big an issue anymore
I've learned to keep it inside now
I've had to learn well
I still have a lot to learn
Like how not to let the fact that not everyone
Is comfortable with themselves
Get to me
Of course to me
It's not a big deal
Why bother?
What does it matter
what others call you?
That's right
It doesn't!
It's what you think of yourself
That REALLY matters!
But of course
To some
It does matter
A lot
And I have to learn to respect that
I remember I said once
"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves."
But I'm still confused
What does this say about me?
What am I supposed to understand?
I'm looking for my answer
Have you seen it?
