I sit in front of the healing tank absentmindedly, eating lunch. Maggie looks a lot better- her wound is a scab now. Undoubtedly, the flesh underneath the scab isn't completely healed yet, but it's still an improvement.
"Are you sad about it?" Jade asks.
"I dunno. I mean, I don't like the fact that she's hurt, of course, but I still hardly know you guys." I shrug.
"Shush. She's your space sister." Jade pats my back.
"Um, okay." I say awkwardly.
"We're touching down on the mall planet in thirty fareshnirs." She tells me.
"Okay, so, people go to malls all the time. Oh, wait! Do you think there'll be any hot alien babes? That would be so cool!" Xavier walks into the room.
"I don't think you're ready to talk to anyone." I admit.
"Lighten up, princesa. I can handle a few more punches." He cracks his knuckles.
"I wasn't trying." I warn. Although the truth is that I'm just weaker than your average insulted girl.
"Okay, but what if Astralis cadets are famous or something? I'd be like a celebrity!" He smirks. "Wow, do you think there's any fan fictions about me?"
"I highly doubt it." Jade rolls her eyes. Some sort of noise sounds behind us and Maggie's on the floor, covered in slime.
"How are you?" I ask.
"Covered in Intelligent Fluid?" She offers, shaking slime off of her hands.
"We'll be on Samainne in thirty fareshnirs." Jade repeats.
"Okay." Maggie nods. "I'm getting changed." She tries to wipe off her tank top, but eventually just gives up.
She leaves the room, and Wessa comes in to take her place.
"Are you going to dress up?" She asks.
"Maybe." Xavier shrugs. "Probably not, though."
"Well, I'm going to buy something." She tells us.
"I'm just getting a backup outfit." I admit.
"Oh, please do. No offence, but you aren't exactly smelling the best." Chuckles Wessa.
"I'm gonna take a nap before we land." I decide. "See you later." I head to my room and pull the covers over my head. My tablet starts making sounds and I glare at it, opening it up.

GREENERD: What's a Star Trek
GREENERD: And I blame Xavier too
RBrooks: I'm trying to sleep
GREENERD: Go into settings and activate Silence. You'll be able to sleep in peace.
XavierButYouCanCallMeBabe: good nitrogen
GREENERD: Sleep tightrogen
please_dont_call_him_babe: don't let the bedbugs bitrogen
I silence the tablet, groaning internally at the puns.
But I manage to fall asleep.

I don't recall the exact moment when I woke up. I think they dragged my half-asleep body off of the ship, and I never noticed until we were in the first clothing store.
