I wake up on my own the next day.
I get dressed and walk down the hall to the kitchen, and pour myself something like cereal. I eat slowly, swallow, and leave for the lounge.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"Magri's hacking into the Gorfonian server!" Exclaims Wessa.
"I'm not hacking." She sighs. "I'm sending a virus to a ton of computers. When I get enough, they're all going to spam the server, causing it to shut down, putting most of the defenses offline."
"So it's an unguarded server?" I ask.
"No, the spam is going to be requests." She grumbles.
"Oh." I nod. "So, how many computers do you need?"
"I'm thinking around a billion?" She shrugs.
"A billion?" Gapes Xavier.
"A small fraction of life in the universe." She shrugs. "I'm almost there."
Jade enters the room wearing a tank top instead of her normal sweater. And she doesn't have her glasses on. She quickly fixes this and puts them on.
"What were you doing?" Wessa asks.
"Exercising." She answers simply.
"Don't tire yourself out." Wessa smiles.
"Hey." Regeit walks into the room. He looks a bit more tired than usual.
"You look tired." I comment.
"Eh, I'm fine. It was only one night." He plops onto the couch.
"How much did you sleep?" Xavier raises an eyebrow.
"Um, I didn't sleep at all." He admits.
"I'll get you the honey." He whispers.
"When are we leaving?" Asks Trikko. Regeit jumps a bit. "Something wrong?"
"I forgot you were there." He admits. "It depends. We need to leave sometime during this opralium."
"Why did they pick today?" Jade asks.
"Topralium?" He raises an eyebrow. "Because it's a Gorfonian holiday and there'll be less personnel."
"Why can't we just go next year?" Yawns Xavier.
"That's a dumb idea." Maggie rolls her eyes. "Do you know how many people die due to Gorfonians each year?"
"At least seven billion." Jade grumbles.
"Hah! That's a small portion." She chuckles darkly. "More were killed on your planet alone. It wasn't just humans who died." That's the first time I had that realization, which makes me feel a bit stupid. "Speaking of numbers... I'm ready to launch the spam attack."
"Should we suit up?" I turn to Regeit.
"I guess it's good to get this over with." He nods.
I get into my armour, and make sure that I take my blaster and bow. I leave for the hallway and find everyone assembled together. Wessa is wearing some armour I've never seen before, but it has a symbol I've seen on Kartraean things on it.
"You brought armour from Kartrae?" I ask.
"It's good to be prepared." She shrugs, shoving a blaster into a holster that wasn't deigned for something of its size, but it'll do.
"Wait up a second." Jade instructs. She pulls an elastic off of her wrist and ponytails Wessa's hair.
"Are we ready?" Regeit asks.

Science FictionRowan witnesses the apocalypse. Not the end of the universe, just the end of his planet. Very rare to survive it, apparently, seeing how he is one of three survivors. Jade and Xavier are two other survivors, and none of them really stick together...
