"C'mon Mia. It's time for school." Kol yelled up to Mia. She wiped her face as she looked at pictures of her and her mother.

"Coming." She yelled back down to Kol. Clearly he could hear her soft sobs.

She missed her mom and she wasn't going to get her back. Kol and Davina had explained to her when she reached age 10 about her mom.

The had told her that Ella was dead but Davina was trying everything she could to bring her back. They were in contact with Freya which held Ella's soul as well.

No one had enough power that the hallows death provided to bring Ella back.

Mia looked in the mirror and made sure she hair looked okay and that her eyes weren't as puffy. With a small sigh she grabbed her bag and threw it lazily over her shoulder.

She walked out of her room and down the stairs. She could smell the burning of the toast that Kol always made in the morning.

"You burned it again." She stated flatly.

"I thought you liked it burnt. No?" He looked up from his project and smiled.

"Your delusional. Why don't you just compel a cook?" I giggled at him. He had a piece of toast in his mouth and pointed at me.

"My cooking is amazing."

"I beg to differ." Davina laughed as she walked into the kitchen.

"Guess what?" Kol looked at his wife.

"What?" Mia asked him, Kol always said the most funny things.

"No one asked-", He was cut off by his toast catching on fire. He threw it down onto the table and glared at the both of the females,"Which one of you did it?"

Davina and Mia shared a look, then started to laugh. Davina had set the toast on fire.

Kol sped infront of Mia and stared at her,"It wasn't you." A creepy smile formed on his face as he looked over at Davina.

"Run." I let out a laugh that I held in the whole time. Mia began to hum slightly and then Kol tripped. Mia had commanded the chair to fly infront of him.

No one was sure excatly what Mia was. She could control things with her mind and emotions. She didn't have to recite a spell nor did she have to even look or point in the direction.

Davina guessed she was a siren but she didn't live off human blood. Kol figured she was one of a kind just like her mother was.

Kol jumped up and zoomed over to Mia and began tickling her. Mia broke into a fit of laughter.

"Kol stop I'll pee." She yelled.

"You also have school." He got off her and helped her up.

"And ice cream after?" Mia smirked at him.

"Every wednesday darling." He smiled back at her. It was a tradition that Ella had done with Mia every week. Now it was a Mia and Kol thing.

"I'm going to head out." She mumbled as she made her way to the door.

"You didn't even have breakfast." Davina called after her.

"I'll buy some at school." She yelled back.

It was a short walk to school. Mia now attends a public school and with Davina's help she learned how to surpress her powers.

"Hey Mia!" Mia turned to see Jessica -her best friend.

"Hey Jessie." Mia smiled at her.

"Did you have any process on operation retribution?" Jessie fixed her bookbag and asked in a hushed tone.

"Not really. I can't even make contact with her." Mia sighed. Jessie was a normal girl who Mia trusted with her secret. She spent the night a few at their home, and she learned what Davina and Kol were.

Jessie loved to learn more about them all and Mia was glad she finally had someone she could talk to.

"So she isn't dead?"

"She is," Mia stopped and looked at her best friend,"You are a genious Jessica Smit."

"What did I say?" Jessie smiled.

"She isn't dead. I've been reaching to the otherside and she isn't there. So where is she?" Mia narrowed her eyes and intended to ask Davina about it. The married couple didn't know that Mia was so involved on her own terms with the Ella situation.

"Can't you do a locater spell?"

"I don't have anything that was her's." They both walked through the front door of their highschool.

"I'll think about it. See you at lunch." Jessie sent me a peace sign and we went our separate ways.

Kol sat on the couch with his head in his hands. Davina was doing everything she could to help, he understood that. Its been about 10 years since his best friend was taken from him.

All he wanted to do was to make Mia happy and to have his other half back.

He knew Mia would cry herself to sleep knowing that he mom wasn't coming in to kiss her goodnight.

Kol grabbed his cup and whipped it at the wall. Glass and alcohol flew about in the living room.

"Kol!" Davina yelled at him. His eyes were now red and tear flowed freely down his cheeks. Davina went over and hugged him immediately.

Kol collapsed to the floor having Davina follow him down. He barried his face in her neck and she held him as tight as she could.

"I just want her back." He sobbed and she rubbed his back.

"I know you do, I know. "

They sat there for a long time until the alcohol left Kol's system and he stopped crying.

Mia sat in class as she stared at her pen. It slowly began to spin, faster and faster until it flew off the desk.

Mia's face went red with embarrassment. She stood up to go get the pen when she heard the murmers.

"I'm coming for you."

She looked around and everyone watched the teacher bored,"Is everything alright Miss Salvatore?"

She was snapped from her thoughts and nodded at the teacher. It was a voice in her head and she intended to find out who was coming for her and why.
