The room was silent and everyone was staring at the rings in my hand. I began to worry hoping that they approved but didn't know how to react. I glanced to everyone in the room when the door slammed closed.

"Engaged?! You didn't even wait for me!" I saw Hope storming in,"I overheard from outside." I have her a guilty smile before looking to Kol.

I saw Kol's face drop,"Bloody hell." I stared at him and looked between everyone again. They all stared at Kol as if waiting for his reaction,"You're all grown up." He rubbed his face before looking up with a huge smile,"You're getting married my little witch."

I let go the breath that I had been holding in,"Yeah, I am." He stood up and walked over to me and I stood up as well. He pulled me into a huge hug,"We are going to throw the biggest wedding." I pulled back and smiled at Kol as everyone began to clap and cheer.

"Whats everyone-" Eve's voice was heard over the cheers and everyone looked at her before a lot of,"Welcome to the family," and,"Congrats," rang through the house.

Everyone sat down at the dinner table as I pulled out the roast,"Here we are." I smiled as I put it on the table and then sat down,"Dig in!"

Everyone began cutting into the meat and passing around the bowls of food,"This is so good, what did you do to it?" I looked over at Kol and then to Devina who looked back at me before putting their fingers to their lips.

"Its a secret recipe. A family recipe." I smiled at them and then began to eat myself. The taste of the roast took me back to the first day I moved in with my fake parents.

I sat in the back seat of a man name Kol's car,"Wheres my mom?" I could feel the tears in my eyes, why did she abandon me?

"She is, shes uh-" I heard him sniff as he brought his hand to his face. I stared at the window,"We're almost home darling."

I sighed as we pulled into a drive way,"This isn't home." I mumbled confused on what was happening.

He got out of the car and opened my side of the car. I pulled back futher into the car so he couldn't get me,"I want my mom!"

He sighed,"Darling, just take my hand." I pulled my hand into my chest and then put my back against the other door. The door slammed shut and he walked away. I felt a small victory and sat by myself in the dark silence.

Soon a smaller women came out and knocked on my window. I jumped and stared at her as she opened the door,"Hi I'm Devina. I'm Kol's wife, dinner is ready. Are you hungry?" I stared at her before she climbed into the car with me. She was staring at me and I was staring at her, making direct eye contact before she smiled,"Your mom, she asked Kol and I to take care of you. Now come in and have dinner please? You can take it to your room if you want or eat with us."

I looked away and nodded slightly,"Okay."

She held her hand out to me and I slowly grabbed it. I followed her out of the car and up the front steps. The door was quiet as it closed and the house was warm. I didn't realize how cold I was until that moment.

The man Kol sat in the kitchen with a plate of food. Devina motioned me to the plate of food. I walked forward and glanced between the two. I sat down and looked at Devina,"Thank you." I ate the roast and it melted in my mouth, it was the best food I've ever had,"Why does it tastes so good?" Kol and Devina broke out in a laugh.

"It's a secret, family recipe."

After we were all done eating I walked outside for some fresh air. The night was amazing, the sea was calm, and everyone was happy.

I brought my feet into the water, it was cold. I glanced at the night sky and seeing just a navy blue. I stared harder and slowly the sky was sprinkled with stars,"Why are you alone?"

"Oh, I come out here every night." I felt his presence next to me. He stood in the water next to me.

Shoulder by shoulder I stood next to the only person I'd know as a father,"How have you been besides the whole engagement?"

"I've been - you mean the magic." I sighed and glanced at Kol,"I've been fine. I just use it so much for good that, the dark voices aren't there."

"That's good," He wrapped his arm around my shoulder,"I know you want her back, but that kind of magic will make you like the old hallow."

I wrapped my arm around his waist,"Kol, I will find a way without ruining myself."

There was a long silence and we just stared out into the sea,"I'm going to throw you the best wedding darling."

"I wouldn't expect anything less from my father." He squeezed my shoulders at the mention of father and did the same in return,"Thank you for everything Kol Mikealson."

"You're very welcome Mia Salvatore-Mikealson."
