Dex pressed the petals and exited the radio building and food bank. Dex and Cam had found several boxes of canned turkey breast, peas, carrots, tomato soup, even a frozen pizza still frozen. Plus produce, bread, and cans of beans. Wally and Tinley found some assault rifles, shotguns, and handguns lying in the hallways from dead people.

"So, how was this trip," Dex asked. "Anyone injured or scratched?" Everyone said no and Wally shook his head. Cam turned around to look back at Wally. "You okay?" she asked. Wally nodded and leaned his head against the window. He shifted his backpack into his lap and zipped the closed part and cracked a faint smile. Tinley crossed her arms and made a suspicious face. "So, what did you find in the bag?" Tinley asked. Wally moved the bag further away from him. "Just cans of food and some pistols. That's it."

Before Wally could react, Tinley yanked the bag from his lap and speedily unzipped it. She pulled it open while Wally was yelling to give it back. Tinley snickered. "What are these? Sand packs?" she strung out the green wire around it and examined it. "Give it back!" Wally reached for it. "You gotta get it!" Tinley laughed. Wally unbuckled and jumped onto her. "Woah!" Tinley laughed falling underneath him. Dex and Cam both broke out laughing and looked away. "Get a room!" Dex yelled. Tinley shoved him off and pushed him toward his seat.

"I'll give it back if you tell me what it is." she said. Wally was silent. Tinley glared at him with death eyes and read the black labeling on the wrapper around it. "Caution; highly explosive." Tinley looked up at Wally. "Are these bombs? Are we gonna blow up?" Tinley asked. Dex slammed on the breaks. He turned around and looked at the clear green packages with light brownish dust in it. "That is some kind of thermite, or something. It's explosive! Wally, where did you get that!?" Dex yelled. Wally looked at him with a smart-alic look. "It's an IED. Instant Electrical Detonator. It has forms of gunpowder in it and when I press a wired remote control an electrical pulse will vaporize wires connected to it start a chain reaction and cause an exothermic reaction with the gunpowder causing an explosion." Wally snickered. Dex looked at him with a blank face. Cam was quiet and Tinley was trying not to laugh. "You lost me at IED." Dex said turning back around and slowly stepping on the gas petal. Tinley looked at the window and tossed him the backpack full of explosives back. "Nerd." Tinley laughed.

Wally zipped the bag back up and snickered. "You guys have no idea. Let me out please." Wally said loudly. Dex turned around. "Why do you want out? We're not even close to Norridge." Cam asked. Wally looked out the window and at the paper map. "We're about two miles. I can walk." Wally said grunting. Tinley looked at him, sighed, and looked out her window again.

Dex slowed down and turned around. "You sure you want to walk?" he asked. "I need to exercise." Wally nodded putting his backpack on. "Uh," Dex stopped completely. "Okay..." Wally unlocked the door and opened it. He stepped out and slammed the door. Dex, Cam, and Tinley began driving off. Wally waved and shoved his hands in his pockets, lifted his pickaxe over his shoulder, and nodded.

Not even minutes later, headlights broke behind him. The day was slowly transitioning into the night. The sun was fading behind the maple trees. Wally turned around and backed to the side of the road. He could barely see anything, then the lights turned off. The car inched forward and couple feet and Wally could see four people in the car. One of them exited with an assault rifle at his side. Wally's eyes opened wide and he sprinted quickly. He fumbled around with the explosive and his hand. The headlights turned on again and he freaked out and dropped the explosive on the road. Wally looked back but the car was already driving his way. Wally backed up slowly until he was a good distance away from the car, and when the car was directly over the explosive.

The man exited the car again and aimed the gun at him. "You are you?" they asked. Wally kept his hands in his pocket. "Does it matter?" he asked. The man with the gun chuckled. "It does. We need to know your name." "No." Wally said. "We want to respect the ones we kill for their stuff. They are good people, lending their stuff to us." he aimed his assault rifle at him. Wally fingered the area around the button on the remote hidden in his pocket. "I'll ask you again, what's your name?" Wally smiled. "My name is boom."

"Boom?"

Boom.
