"How? Dex here can barely even stand on his own." Aaron said. Blaise watched Wally dance on stage at his newly killed foe. Henry hung motionless from the ropes. His arms still leaking blood onto the concrete floor. The blood puddled around his corpse and his pants were stained red."I've been here for a month. I've seen at least four disciplinary actions a week and I'm sick of this man. I don't share this with many people but killed my family and I just want to leave. I can't do with just three people. I need lots of you guys. He caught us on the road and kidnapped us. I remained resistant like your friend over here. Until he killed my wife and boy." Blaise patted Tinley on the shoulder. "I don't want the same to happen with you." Blaise took his hands off and started backing away. "The soldiers block every exit. No one leaves without say so and the workers can not leave at all."
"How do you guys scavenge then?" Sam asked. "We all go in groups of seven or more. No less. One soldier with them at all times so supervise them. They keep what they find. They won't let you four out. We need to sneak out." Blaise said. He began backing away and moving through the crowd of horrified people. Tinley and the others followed quickly.
Wally noticed the suspicious movement. He picked up the radio and whispered into it quietly. "Keep eyes on our new guests. It's seems they've made a new friend." he lowered the radio and continued cheering at the dead rapist.
Blaise slid his back along the hallway. He peered around the corner. Two soldiers were standing at the exit. They had AR-15's in their hands and were both casually talking.
"I wish we could use the FN SCARS, but apparently we're too low of soldiers to do that." one of them said quietly. "I know. He let's the Tier 4 soldiers use rocket launchers. Like geez, that is so damn cool."
Tinley scoffed and jumped around the corner. Both soldiers gasped and aimed the AR-15's at her and yelled. "Little girl! Go back to your job! You can't be here!" they yelled. Tinley walked closer slowly and blinked seductively. She smiled at them and bit her lip. One of the soldiers lowered their gun and little bit and their jaw dropped. The other soldier whacked him in the back of the head. "Pervert!" he shouted. The soldier raised the gun again.
"You wouldn't shoot me, would you?" Tinley said making a baby voice. "I'm lost and I need a big strong man to help me find my way." she smiled. Both soldiers lowered their guns and she noticed drool coming out of one of their mouths. "I, uh," one of them stuttered. "I can help." they said. The other soldier stepped in front of them. "No, I can. She said she wants a strong man. You can't even bench one fifty." he said walking towards her. Tinley smiled and backed up. Both soldiers strapped their guns to their sides and began walking. As soon as Tinley went around the corner, Aaron and Blaise whipped around and put both soldiers in a choke hold.
"We're leaving." Blaise said angrily. The soldier Blaise was holding was getting words out. "I can't believe you're doing this, Blaise! We treated you like family!" the soldier growled. Blaise teared up. "You're the soldier that escorted my son to the stage." he said as he snapped the soldier's neck. Both soldier laid dead in the hallways. Blaise and Aaron equipped their AR-15's and leaned against the exit door.
Aaron creaked the door open slightly. Blinding morning light bled through the small crack in the door. Aaron rubbed his eyes and he noticed a soldier standing directly on the other side of the door. The solider gasped and reached for his gun but Blaise and Aaron both aimed it at him first. The soldier immediately stopped and backed up. "Get in here!" Blaise yelled. The soldier walked slowly towards them. "On your knees." Aaron said. The soldier had his hands up and he fell to his knees. Tinley roundhouse kicked him in the jugular and killed the soldier. "Damn, baby." Dex laughed. Tinley kissed him on the cheek. "Wouldn't seduce anyone else but you." she giggled. Dex's face was red. "Ah, girl you playin' now. Stop that." he laughed. Sam turned to them. "Can we keep this professional?" she asked. TInley and Dex looked at each other. "No." they both said with a cocky face.
Blaise opened the exit door and they stepped outside. The group scanned the courtyard for anything they could use to escape. A military barrack truck was parked outside. Blaise pointed to it. "That's one of the vehicles they use for workers to scavenge. The keys are always in them so we can just get in one and leave." Blaise yelled. He looked both ways and quickly sprinted towards it. Tinley and Aaron had Dex over their shoulders and they raced to it. Sam followed behind.
Tinley and Aaron loaded Dex into the back of the barrack vehicle and climbed in with him. He was quivering and his back was scabbing. His white shirt was dry and crusty with blood. He sat up straight on the interior of the vehicle. Blaise and Sam sat in the front. Blaise turned the key and the engine turned on. The vehicle shook and rumbled and Blaise laughed. "Wow, that was almost too easy." he started on the gas pedal until he heard a gunshot.
Tinley turned around to look outside of the barrack vehicle. Wally and three soldiers were sprinting out of the exit. They all had guns on them. Wally looked especially angry. He aimed the pistol and began popping rounds. Aaron and Dex fell to the floor and ducked from the bullets. Tinley took the glock in her boot and peaked over the side. She popped Wally in the side and the vehicle began taking off. She heard Wally yell in pain and the soldiers immediately stopped and carried him back inside.
The barrack vehicle sped off into the distance. Soon, the Factory was a mere blur in the back and they were on their way.
Aaron knocked on the window to the driver's seat. Sam looked over her shoulder and slid the window open. "Where are we headed?" Aaron asked. Sam looked at Blaise and pointed to a left hand turn. Blaise turned and continued driving. "We're heading back to Norridge. We need to patch Dex up. Then we can head out and find a new place to call home." Sam said. Tinley popped up to the window. "They know where Norridge is! They'll find us there." "Not if we're fast."
"It's the only place we know has bandages and medication. We'll be fast. Don't worry." Sam said as she slid the window back.
