Harry blinked at the four of us, his eyebrows nearly in his hairline.

"Is this some sort of intervention? You all look pissed off."

I wasn't pissed off. I was confused as all get out.

"Noelle why don't you go upstairs and pick out your pajamas. I'll be up in a few minutes." I said quietly as Noelle looked confused at the five women in a half circle around her father. But she hopped off Zayn's lap and went anyways.

Then Gemma went in for the kill.

"I swear to god," She said, lunging towards him, hitting the back of his hand. I winced. So did Harry, looking even more lost. "Where is your head?!" She screeched, shoving his shoulder. Harry looked towards me of all people for explanation, but I looked down.

Zayn, Louis and Liam all seemed to be in some states of laughter, but Emma silenced them quickly.

"And you three chuckleheads. You couldn't have stopped him!?" Emma said, pinching Zayns arm, who she was closest to.

"Stopped me from doing what!? Gemma I swear to god I will have you in a headlock if you keep on." Harry said, swatting Gemmas hand away, standing up. It all seemed to click with him then, his face turning lighter than usual.

"Shit. I knew I should've taken a cab. And told Niall." He said, turning around to shoot a glare towards Louis.

"Whoever you told doesn't change the fact that you slept with her!" Lou said out of nowhere, hitting his arm lightly.

Harry looked most confused at this, furrowing his eyebrows, turning in the direction towards Louis.

"You're a wanker." He muttered. I could feel his eyes on me now, but I was still looking elsewhere. I heard him heave a sigh before speaking.

"I need to talk to Laney. Alone. Disperse." He said, waving his hands around.

I swallowed, "Isn't this more of a best friend, or sister, or hairdresser matter? I truthfully don't know why you would need-"

He cut me off, "I just need to speak with you about it. You're the only one I trust enough not to hit me." he said side eyeing Gemma. He said no more, grasping my elbow lightly as he walked out of the room, me trailing behind him before he led us downstairs to his gym. I perched on an exercise ball, while he sat on a weight bench.

"Soundproofed." He mumbled, gesturing around himself, and I gave a curt nod.

"They would be even more upset if they knew what I was really doing at Harpers." He started, running a hand through his hair, before groaning and dropping his head into his hands, "God, I am so stupid." He said, muffled.

I sighed, "Sleeping with an ex isn't that horrible, I'm sure every-"

"Laney. I didn't sleep with her."

His words hung over the both of us while I processed. An hour ago he had, and I felt all mixed up. I felt angry at myself for even romancing the idea of him, disappointed in him for letting her take advantage of him, and just sad.

Now I felt even more mixed up.

"But Louis-"

"I told him I did. And we'll just let them all believe it," He shrugged, "I was groveling." He sighed, eyes glassy.

"And I was going to sleep with her." He added, scratching his upper arm. "But then something popped into my mind and I couldn't, or didn't want to anymore."

"Something?" I asked quietly. He searched my eyes for a moment, nodding.

"Someone." He said, twirling the ring that sat on his middle finger. I furrowed my eyebrows, nodding.
