I don't want to say it was the slap heard round the world, but it certainly was the slap heard round the Styles residence.

Harry, only a few feet away, had been lingering to hear our spat, but his face went sort of dead when he heard her hand hit my face. I heard Noelle crying somewhere in the background, Gemma shushing her, but truthfully, my ear was sort of ringing.

Harper and I were still staring at each other, no doubt her looking much more trumphiant as I'm sure my face was forlorn.

"I'm his girlfriend, you know." I started out slowly, gauging Harry's reaction. He just nodded his head smally, apparently feeling that I was okay to go on. "You lost him, because you're quite frankly a terrible person. And you can beat me bloody but it won't change the fact that he sleeps next to me now, and Noelle comes to me first. It won't change the fact that you're a bad mother. And I don't even wish bad things for you. I just hope you realize what an incredible little girl you have, and straighten out before she's old enough to take off her rose colored glasses. Treating me like the issue isn't going to work. Believe it or not, around here, I feel more like a solution to the problem you made. So hit me again Harper, your only further proving what everyone in here already thinks of you."

I think if it were appropriate at the time, Niall would have applauded me. Zayn and Anna were on the same page, meanwhile Harry's eyes were on Harper, clearly wondering what the hell she was about to do.

In true Harper fashion, she of course, hit me again.

Harry's lawyer was a very big man in a very dark blue suit. He also seemed to think that this whole thing was necessary, and I really didn't.

Harry also, in a very out of character commanding mood, did as well.

"How specific can we make this thing, Scott?" Harry asked, glancing down at the stack of papers in his hands.

"As specific as you want, Mr. Styles." Scott replied, clicking his pen.

"Brilliant. I don't want her near Laney unless Noelle is with them. I know she can behave when she is around. I also would like to try to not allow her on the property. Does the custody agreement allow that?" Harry questioned, rubbing at his lip, something I knew he did when he was focusing.

Scott shook his head, "No, sir, I'm sorry. You made this a mutual meeting spot, and since Noelle lives here, she has a right to be here, with your permission of course. But changing it would mean heading back to court, and I doubt you want to go through that again. Also i'm sure your PR agent would actually murder me this time around." Scott and Harry both chuckled, and the longer this went on the more I felt angry.

"What if I don't think this is necessary?" I finally piped in, Harry whipping his head towards me, eyebrows furrowed and eyes darkened. I knew he was angry when Harper hit me a second time, but he looked pissed as all hell right now.

I wonder if there is an extra spot at the UNO tournament going on in the kitchen cause I would really love to be there.

"She hit you twice, and you don't think a restraining order is necessary." Harry droned, gawking at me. I shook my head, slowly, shrugging.

"I'm not opposed to the idea, but I just think she'll learn eventually. And I think if anything this will fuel her fire. You know, try to get me out of the house or something like that." I said quietly. The locks clicked in Harry's head, frowning at me.

"Lane are you scared she's going to like, kick you out?" Harry raised an eyebrow.

I nodded. "I mean she is Noelle's mother, she can find an issue with me and go to the police or her lawyer of some shit like that. I'd rather just let her think she won this round. I mean technically she did." I mumbled, touching my cheek lightly.
