'Ohh, killing me softly, and I'm still falling, still the one I need.' I grabbed the shampoo from my shower shelf, squeezing a sizable amount into my hand. Beyonce was blaring through my bathroom speakers, and I truthfully could not be held accountable that I was swaying my hips, and bouncing to the beat.
Noelle was gone with her mother before I was even awake, and Harry was out at a meeting, so I took the opportunity to listen to music that wasn't One Direction, now.
The song progressed as I washed and rinsed my hair, and I probably looked completely mad as I danced stupidly while putting conditioner on the short ends of my bob.
And if you don't sing along to Beyonce, there is something wrong with you, so of course I was belting out the lyrics.
And given my lack of natural balance, I also, of course, managed to snag the bottom of the shower curtain, spinning myself right to the floor of the tub. The shower rod came down with me, narrowly missing my head, and now I was covered in the curtain, laughing to myself.
The last thing I expected was to hear footsteps outside my door, and then rapid knocks echoing throughout the bathroom.
I cleared my throat, subconsciously tightening the shower curtain around my nude body.
"Laney? Are you alright?" I brought my hand up to my head, embarrassed although a door separated Harry and I.
"Uh, yeah, I'm fine! Just dropped my perfume!" I furrowed my eyebrows.
Dropped my perfume?
Nice one Lane.
"Must've been some heavy perfume. Uhm, listen when you're out can you come to my office? I need to ask you something." Harry said, and his voice was far enough away that I knew he wouldn't hear me if I responded.
Guess I'm going to his office either way.
I stood up, hanging back up the shower rod, and dusting invisible dust off myself, as if someone else had seen my fall and I had to play it cool. I wrapped myself in a towel, moving to my room and into my closet, grabbing a simple pair of jeans and an old t-shirt of mine to toss on.
I winced as I stepped on something sharp, picking up my foot of find it bleeding slightly with an earring on mine sticking out. I huffed, pulling it out and putting it on the set of drawers that sat in the closet, before wondering how it got there. I hadn't been in my jewelry since I moved in here, which can only mean one thing. I glanced towards my jewelry box and sure enough a few drawers were open, as well as the small hanging door where I kept all my necklaces. I sighed, grabbing the earring and tossing it back into where it belonged before getting dressed quickly, knowing exactly where I was headed.
I nearly ran into Zayn on my way out of the door, and he opened his mouth to say something, but I held up a hand instead, moving to open Noelles bright white door. Zayn followed me, which was normal over the past few days.
Zayn, bless his heart was a bit of a moocher. I think it was his kitchen that was currently being re-done, so he has been sleeping in the guest room for the past three days.
Which I would be okay with, had I not seen my best friend tiptoeing out of his room yesterday morning.
"You and I need to have a chat, sir." I said to him as I started to open Noelles dresser drawer. I sighed as I began pulling out various pieces of my collection.
"Bout?" Zayn clipped and I glance at him, nodding in hello to Harry who just entered the room.
"Noelle has taken it upon herself to go shopping in my closet." I explain to Harry, holding up my things, before switching my attention to Zayn. "Annaleise."
