(6 years later)"Noelle, do not torture the two of them." I sighed, pushing her gently away from the counter where she was sticking out her tongue at father and brother.
My four year old son was still pouting, and his father was not far behind. Meanwhile, Noelle was happily licking her spoon, rocking back and forth on her heels. She was patient for once in her life, therefore had her promised spoon of frosting in her hand.
"Mum told you two not to sneak." Noelle taunted. I laughed, nodding curtly.
"Mum also told you to not have a second popsicle last night, but I let you didn't I?" Harry asked gruffly, hand resting on his chin.
"Don't be a tattle tale." Aiden chimed at Harry. I nodded, raising my eyebrows at him.
"Don't you turn on me too mate." Harry teased, grabbing him and pulling him on his lap, and automatically tickling his stomach, making him scream in laughter. I smiled to myself, observing the both of them. From the word 'go' Aiden looked like me. He had bright blonde hair and a petite frame, and soft features. But then the first time he smiled I nearly cried because he was all Harry then. He had dimples and his eyes lit up and he looked so much like my husband.
"It's just a cake, no big deal." Harry shrugged.
I scoffed, putting my hand over my heart, feigning offense. "I get up on a Saturday morning to slave away on a special cake, not just any cake, and you insult me."
"My Birthday isn't for another month." Adam said quietly.
"Baby, I know when your birthday is." I said chuckling, leaning over and ruffling his hair. I finished spreading the icing over the rest of the cake, smiling to myself.
"Dad gets the first piece." I muttered, slicing a small one for Harry. Noelle huffed from beside me and I turned to looked down at my ten year old. She brought her green eyes to mine, challenging me. Noelle Styles was always going to be a force to be reckoned with. As she got older, the more feistier and quick witted she became. It still shocked me when she came to me at 6 years old, Harry and I not even married yet and insisted that I become her real mother. Obviously Harper had quite a few issues about me adopting her, but Harry's lawyers are a dream team and it has been all worked out since then. Harper calls a few times a month, and enjoys her life far from us. Noelle doesn't seem to mind, she is happy and content with us, bossing her brother around.
"Why? What did he do?" Noelle demanded, while Harry frowned at her.
"He helped." I said slyly, snickering to myself. I placed the piece of cake on a plat for Harry sliding it over to him as he raised an eyebrow at me. He took one look at my hard work of layering pink and blue cakes, before grinning at me, as I put a piece on plates for Noelle and Aiden. Harry got up from the island, walking over to me, his hands going to my waist and pulling me into him, placing a sloppy kiss behind my ear.
"How far along?" He said quietly, glancing at the kids to make sure they were fully engrossed in their treat.
"I dont know, I just found out maybe a day ago. I only missed one period. But I had a feeling." I shrugged.
"I'm so happy. But we should wait to tell the kids. Even though I can tell Noelle knows. Clever little shit." Harry muttered, and I looked at Noelle who was beaming towards the both of us. I shook my head, sushing her with my finger to my lips.
Aiden was a completely welcomed surprised that we found about shortly after returning from our honeymoon. We had been trying for a while now, and we got lucky the we didn't have to wait too long.
Harry at about 5 months into my pregnancy, had insisted that we find out the gender, because he was nearly certain that it was a girl. He had major plans to re-use the nursery, and all of Noelles things, and be completely ready to reengage in tea-parties.
So when he found out we were having a boy, the first thing he did was cry, and the second thing he did was throw nothing short of a party for himself, putting his all into switching over the nursery. He worried for months about his inability to play any sort of sport well, but then got lucky.
Aiden was exactly like Harry. He loved music, and his favorite thing to do was to listen to his dads old records and tell him what he could've done better.
Harry grumbled he would have rather been beaten constantly at footie.
"I never saw myself having three kids." I said quietly, messing around with the icing that sat on the remaining cake.
"Aiden, bum on the seat. Noelle, stop poking him." I said seeing the two of them bickering in the corner of my eye.
"Super mom aren't, Ya?" Harry commented, resting his chin on on my shoulder, "I always thought I would have four." He said humming into my neck.
w"It takes two to tango there, Styles." I quipped, giggling.
"Yeah it does, Styles. But if I remember correctly I am your favorite partner on the planet." He said, rubbing his hands over my waist.
I laughed, "You make a good point."
