I woke up with my head in Ethan's lap. I chuckled to myself and got up. I made my way upstairs and saw that it was raining outside, heavily. I skipped up the steps carefully not to trip. I then threw on a grey sweater with jeans and an olive green jacket. I laced up my brown combat boots and left my brown hair down naturally. I really liked it brown so I'm keeping the color. I then lightly ran down the stairs to see Ethan still sleeping. I wrote him a note and put it on the coffee table. I then lightly shut the door and ran into the woods. As soon as I was down far enough to where no one could see me I striped and shifted. I shook myself lightly to get used to the feeling. I then keep my clothes where they were at and let my wolf take over.
*Ethan's pov*
I woke up to the sound of the front door shutting. I snapped awake to realize Summer wasn't laying with me anymore. I had just gotten her back, I ran around like crazy trying to see any sign of her. I then looked to the coffee table to see a note.
'Went out for a run, be back soon.' It read I let out a breath I was holding and went to go find her. I striped and shifted. I wasn't far into the woods when I saw her in a clearing jumping around and chasing a butterfly. She looked beautiful in her wolf form, jumping around like that with leftover rain drop beading in her fur. The rain had stopped and soon it began to rain again. She looked up at the sky to see where the rain had come from. I made a smile and just watched her. God she was beautiful. Then out of nowhere a twig snapped. I looked around the clearing to see two rouges surrounding her. She flatted her ears out against her head and bared her teeth. I wasn't going to show myself until I absolutely needed too. One took a step toward her aiming for her neck but, before the rouge could do anything she stood up on her hind legs and pushed the rouge out of the way so that way it was on its back. The other rouge was sneaking up behind her but, before she could comprehend what was going to happen I jumped out of the way of the trees and ran full force at the rouge. I tackled him to where I was on top of him. I put my paw on the rouges chest and ripped his neck out. I looked over at Summer and saw that she had done the same thing. I was making my way towards her slowly walking. I then looked down at her legs to see them quivering like she would fall at any minute. I then shifted to my human form and ran to her just as she fell. She had passed out and was forced to shift back to human form. She had a huge bite mark on her shoulder that went down to the back of her shoulder blade. Jesus did that wolf tried to eat her whole. I gently let her down while I slipped basketball shorts on and a t shirt on Summer. I then lifted her up with ease in bridal style. I ran to the pack house. She was laying lifeless in my arms barely breathing. I walked in. Many people snapped their heads looking at my mate. All the unmated males looking at her hungrily. I growled lowly making them snap their heads to the other side. I felt my wolf wanting to take over to rip their heads off. I felt an arm wrap around my mate and so I snapped my head to meet Lena the pack doctor. I let her take Summer and put her on a bed. I quickly followed them. The door was lightly shutout my face as she was pulled into a room. I huffed annoyed and walked myself to a seat and sat down. I keep my head in my hands constantly tugging and pulling at the roots of my hair. I wasn't ready for her to go. She is my best friend and I love her so much. I keep praying to the moon goddess that she was alright. I was such a mess. I rubbed my hand down my face. My eyes immediately shot to the door where Lena stepped out. She smiled brightly and explained that Summer was ok. I let out a breath I was holding and walked in. Summer was soundly sleeping. I scooped her hand into mine and looked over her injury. The wound was already healed but, there were light pink scars from where the teeth were. I sighed. If I wasn't so stupid I could have stopped this from happening. It was all my fault.
*Summer's pov*
I stirred awake in the familiar hospital room and Ethan had a death grip on my hand as if I would disappear. I gently shook him awake. He opened his eyes which were blood shot and red. His lips were swollen and he had tear streaks down his face. He looked horrible. I sighed and held his face in my hands while taking the pads of my thumbs and gently wiped away his tears. He held my wrists and lightly tugged me towards him engulfing me into a bear hug. I laid my head on his chest and sighed in content. We stayed like that for awhile.
"Let's go yeah?" I suggested tired of being in a hospital gown. He nodded his head and scooped me up into his arms. I laughed and just let him hold me. It felt nice to be in his arms. I was soon greeted with sleep.

Here's another update guys! Sorry it's so short but, I'm in the process of making another book which is of course another Ethan fanfic it's called 'The gangleaders boy' i'm still debating on if I should post chapter 1 or not. Please tell me what you think in the comments:)
