Herobrine's POV

For months I had roamed from biome to biome, trying to rid myself of the putrid evil manifesting itself in my heart. I tried to think of Emily, but now her image was fading from my mind; the memory of her laugh growing fainter and fainter. Until one day, it faded out completely. Alone now, I allowed myself to finally surrender. What was the point in fighting for something that didn't even matter anymore. Then, one day, as I trudged around a taiga biome, I heard another pair of footsteps in the snow. I whipped round and a man behind me yelped and leapt backwards. "What do you want?" I hissed. He swallowed, "Er, well, I was just wondering why you'd been wandering around so aimlessly for the last few days." "You've been following me?!" "Yep, I can be pretty quiet when I want to be." Now I could get a good look at the man, I realised how strange he looked. And that's coming from me. He wore black sunglasses and a suit, wielding an iron sword in his hand. He grinned, sticking out his hand. "My names Ssundee. What's yours?" I stared at him for a moment, then grudgingly excepted the hand. "Herobrine." He raised his eyebrows. "The REAL Herobrine?" I nodded. "Wow. Then this IS an honour." I was taken aback. "You're not scared of me?" "Nope. Besides, you would of probably been more scared of me once!" I raised my eyebrow. Why would I be scared of this guy? A little eccentric he may be, but scary? No. "What do you mean?" He grinned. "Never mind." I thought for a moment, then said, "Do you know a guy named Sky?" He nodded. "Yup. We're both in Team Crafted." "Ahh. That makes sense." "Oh wait, I remember him telling me about you. You destroyed a village, right?" I paled, remembering that terrible night. "It was an accident. I swear!" "Don't worry dood, you're not the only one who's made mistakes." I blinked. "Wanna tell me about it? You can trust me dood." I nodded and we walked into a forest biome, sitting down on a mossy log. "Well?" I took a deep breath and the words poured out of me. As I talked I saw his eyebrows rise higher and higher up his forehead. I couldn't see his eyes, but I had a feeling they were open wide. I finished by explaining how I'd lost my mind and destroyed the village. He nodded sadly, "Dood, I know the feeling." "You do?" "Yeah." He pursed his lips before taking off his sunglasses. I gasped as I saw a pair of crooked eyes staring back at me. "It's not so bad now a days. But it used to be a lot worse." His voice had changed into a more hoarse, strained tone. Then he put the sunglasses back on and sighed. "When I couldn't control Derp before...he...did a lot of bad stuff." I couldn't help but feel sorry for this minecrafter. "Wow, that sounds pretty bad." He nodded. "Anyway. Do you know the way back to the village." He looked up. "What, where Sky used to live, before he moved into your cave?" "Yes." He nodded, smiling now. "Yeah, I'll help you."

Emily's POV

Everyday was like living hell for me now Hero was gone. Ty kept his distance, but I was glad we were friends now despite all that and happened. I couldn't believe what Hero had done. The village was black and burnt. A mess of charcoal and smoke. I picked my way through the wreckage as Sky and I searched for survivors. Suddenly I heard footsteps approaching and I looked up. There was a guy in a black suit standing in front of me wearing sunglasses and wielding an iron sword. "Hi!" "Hello." My voice was hoarse and quiet from neglect. I hadn't thought to talk much lately. "My name is Ssundee, and I have a visitor for you...an old friend of yours." My heart clenched. Who wanted to kill us NOW? Mind you, this guy SEEMED alright. Then Hero stepped out of the shadows of a burnt building and tears of joy traced their way down my sooty cheeks. "H-H-Hero..." He smiled sadly. I ran towards him, jumping into his arms as he embraced me. I closed my eyes, drinking in his warm scent as he nuzzled into my hair. "I missed you..." "I missed you too. And I'm so sorry." He drew away, tracing his fingers over the bandage on my face. His white eyes filled with tears as he looked at the ground in shame. "Go back to Ty...I don't deserve you...I hurt you." I gasped. "Hero..." "Um, am I interrupting something?" "SSUNDEE!" I looked up as Sky crashed into the guy in the suit. "DOOD! I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU FOR MONTHS!" 'Ssundee' grinned. "I missed you too Sky." Sky grabbed Ssundee's arm and enthusiastically dragged him away in the direction of the cave. Alone now, I lifted Herobrine's chin up so he had to look at me. "I don't want Ty. I want you. And you might do things wrong, or things you regret...but I'll still love you for it." He blinked as tears trickled down his face. I pulled him close as we cried together amidst the blackened and burnt village; our tears pooling on the ground, mingling with the ash and soot...

Ian's POV

Of course, Sky being Sky, I HAD to meet EVERYONE in the cave. And, me being me, I made a complete mess of first impressions. Afterwards though, Sky's happy, carefree attitude died down as he pulled me aside and gave me...THE LOOK. I knew what he wanted to know. "No Sky. I haven't heard anything from Derp." Though I made it look like I was glad he was gone, deep down I was broken and depressed. I missed Derp...more than anything. He had been a part of me, and now he was gone, every second I spent alone in my own head felt like an eternity of suffering. My only comfort was that I still had his crooked eyes, and his voice. Those of which I had once hated, now had grown to know and love. Amidst all my memories, a single tear traced down my cheek. Sky gasped and held me close. "Dood, I had no idea you missed him so much." I took a deep breath so my voice wouldn't crack. "It's like part of me has been torn away...my own identity stolen away from me..." I broke down as I remembered all the times we spent together...now I would never see him again. Suddenly, Sky stiffened as I heard a voice behind me. "Ssundee...you ok?" "Ty." I turned and he gasped as he saw the tears on my face. "It's Derp isn't it." I nodded as he knitted his eyebrows together in sympathy. "Why don't we go see Seto? Maybe he knows how to bring Derp back...after all, he's done it before, right?" I sighed. "Maybe..." "It'll be ok Ssundee..." I nodded, then I felt the emptiness swamp me again and I shook my head and walked past my friends. I felt bad for leaving them, but I needed space. I climbed up the mountain above the cave and sat down on top. The moon was just rising and the stars stared down at me from overhead. I took a deep breath and took my sunglasses off. As expected, nothing. I sighed and put my head in my hands, sobbing quietly. Then, I heard a voice. I froze. "D-D-Derp?" I opened my eyes and saw him standing in front of me. He grinned. "Miss me? I know I missed you. I'll come back sson, but I've got important stuff to do." "What sort of stuff?" He pursed his lips. "I'll tell you soon, but I came to warn you." "Of what?" "There's great evil coming to Minecraftia. It's powerful enough to easily infiltrate Notch's portals and will unleash devastation and destruction upon all dimensions." My mouth hung open. "What?!" "Only one can stop it." I laughed. "Well, doesn't that remind me of someone...or some people?" He grinned. "Better tell him." "Who?" "Herobrine." "Why?" "He's the only one powerful enough to stop them." "Who?" He looked at me sadly before giving me a hug. "Stay alive Ssundee, just hold on a bit longer. Soon, we will be reunited." "Why not now?" I asked, my voice cracking. "Hold on...stay strong for me..." Then he was gone, and I was left feeling even more alone then ever...
