Damn the sun was bright, rolling over and covering her head with the bed sheet.

"good morning beautiful." James' warm voice cooed from behind her as he shuffled in to be her large spoon.

"Mmm, morning" she grumbled through sleep ridden groans.

"so how do you feel?" he asked desperate to know exactly how her emotions felt after last night.

"strange." she growled

"how so?" he asked worriedly

"I don't know like I feel warm, warmer than usual."

James smiled, her blood was running hot like his, she was his for good and nothing could take that away, they had a need for each other, deeper than love, deeper than lust but longing, he felt it, he tried to go get breakfast in his kitchen before she woke up but his body ached before he even made it out of the room and he found himself climbing back into bed and cuddling the groaning woman he loved. He didn't want to move his hands from her, not ever again but he knew he had to eventually. As he slid his arms away she caught them and pulled them and held them tight around her.

"dong go!" she muffled as she turned and nuzzled into his chest.

"whoa hey I was not going anywhere!" he said with a chuckle as he lent down and kissed her, he could feel all her emotions and thoughts with more clarity now but it was still like looking through frosted glass because she was still human. As the kiss began to deepen the lift dinged to inform James someone was requesting access to his room, since no one knew the password they had to press a button and request his permission and he had to type the password into the keypad to give his permission.

Grumpily he huffed and forced himself to walk across the apartment to the lift, the distance between him and Jazz was torturous as he pressed the intercom.

"yes!" James spat clearly annoyed.

"James its Sophie grandma sent me with some items for jasmine and some food for your breakfast guessing you would not be joining us. The sweet voice said at the other end of the speaker.

Sophie was aunty Gwen's granddaughter, aunty Gwen had mated and bonded young and had her daughter Stacy, then aunty Gwens' mate was put to death for betraying our trust and conspiring with the Fangers or vampires as humans called them. Luckily they were not fated mates or she would have died with him, some people said he only mated her to get intel for the vampires. When aunty Stacy met her mate she mated and bonded with him and had Sophie to improve our relations to a neighboring pack before he died after eating poison berries by accident on a hunting trip, though many think he did it on purpose because it was the same week as his father had chosen his brother to take over their pack. Stacy has never been the same, they were not true mates but she is convinced the women in her family are cursed with mates and rarely leaves her house when she does she prefers to be on her own in the woods.

"ok send them up," James said as sweetly as he could with the growing pain from how far away his mate is for so long. Sophie did as demanded and place the items in the elevator and then stepped away and James called the lift up.

"thank you, Sophie, tell your mum and grandma thanks too, and also can you tell my mum I want to talk to her if you see her?"

"mmmm hmmmmm," Sophie muttered while clearly texting her mum to tell her she delivered the stuff before walking away.

"Who was it?" jazz asked while propping herself at the kitchen bar.

"Oh, just Sophie bringing the items my mom said she would organise for you. Ok, so she sen....." his words dropped off as began loading some of the items from the huge bags onto the counter in front of jazz before turning and realising she hadn't changed and she was stood there looking so damn cute in his oversized shirt and boxers.
