"something about this just does not feel right." I mumble to tom who helped me carry unconscious jasmine in here.

"i know" he mumbles back looking at her and rubbing his chin in deep thought.

"what does Alpha have to say about all of this?" tom asks after a few seconds but I shake my head to tell him everything he needs to know.

"you think she really is turning?" tom asks me honestly. While I want to scream and protest my honest fears are taking over and that terrifies me.

"she is not my mate if she is a fanger." I say solemnly. Its well known vampires and werewolves are incompatable and I cant bite and claim her if our blood will poison the other. I wipe a tear from my cheek without even realising it had fallen.

"how long does she have to be here?" Tom says looking over her weak body laying on the cot in the dark room.

"as long as it takes." I say before walking out. Tom soon follows closing and locking the door.

"any progress?" my father suddenly says from the corridor.

"she has not woken up or moved its impossible to tell until she does." I say repeating the doctors words. My father nods placing a hand on my shoulder in a show of strength.

"son come with me we will talk more in my office" he says before turning and walking away.

No one knows what surprises the next few weeks will hold I just hope I don't lose my mate due to one stupid attack.

The entire pack are spreading rumours which I know we need to address soon. The pack doctor will be seeing to her for the next few hours running checks and such though I dont know if I should be by her side I cant be near her, my wolf still calls out to her and wants her and its killing me to keep saying no. then there is the loss of a pup that I didnt even know we were having, I mean we suspected but actually knowing it was there and now is not my wolf just wants to run and howl at the moment everything in me is beginning to feel more beaten with each day that passes. On the night of that mating I had everything I could ever dream of and now, now I have nothing. I was so stuck in my head I guess I jumped when Aunty Gwen put her hand on my shoulder.

"how is she?"

"no change."

"you know shes your destined mate im sure she is not a fanger." my aunty says squeezing my shoulder.

"Only time will tell aunty but thank you."

"if you need anything let me know. Im not sure what is going on with Sophie at the moment but you know we will do anything to help." with that she turns and leaves. As much as I wanted to follow my father to his office I could not drag my face away so I sat on the chair silently as the doctor ran tests poking and prodding and taking blood tests and samples and such I tried to stay calm but as each moment passed I was beginning to get more anxious. Finally when the doctor took his leave with nothing further to report I trudged down the hall and to my fathers office.
