Before you get any ideas, no. Johnny and Yosuku are not in this chapter. But they will show up in this book eventually.
"Hey Zoro!" You giggled waving your hand vigorously at the moss haired boy from your thinking rock. Zoro's bamboo sword gifted to you, sitting across your perfectly criss-crossed legs. Zoro grinned satisfied that you didn't flake out on your first ever training lesson. But frowned to your attire.
"Hi (Y/n), but isn't that kimono a bit restricting?" Actually now that I think about it, isn't nearly all girls clothing hard to move in? If not then they must look really tight.
"Yes..." You sighed, tugging at your sash keeping your kimono tied together. Demonstrating that it was so tight that you couldn't even wiggle one of your thin bony fingers between the piece of fabric and your chest. "All of my clothes are the same, I can't even undress myself" you struggled to reach for the bow on your back but was just barely unable to undo your mother's handiwork.
"If you want me to train you... You need different clothes" Zoro nearly straight out stated. Knowing nothing would get done without it.
"But I can't... My parents don't agree with swordsmenship. Its 'unlady' like" your fingers motioned the air quotes. Then rubbed your arm in great embarrassment.
Zoro now felt genuinely sorry for you. Guessing that you were the poster child of the family. The kid that the parents strive to make perfect. Life just isn't going right for her. It wouldn't hurt to give the dog a bone...
"Damn..." Zoro cursed under his breath. You gasped hearing the short lived curse. Your reaction just set Zoro's assumptions in stone. "Get used to my foul mouth if you expect me to be your sensei" did I really just say sensei? Its feels pretty good if I must say so myself.
"I can adjust" you mumbled almost in pain. Adjusting to this new friend and teacher meant suffering through your ideals.
"You better" Zoro huffed, grabbing your wrist suddenly before you jumped back startled.
"W-where are we going?" You shaked with fear.
"To my house" Zoro sounded as if he was restating the obvious. "You need different clothes. Just borrow some of mine"
"Wear boy clothes!?" you complained with disgust.
"DO YOU WANT TO BE A SWORDSWOMAN OR NOT!?" Zoro growled at his lost of patience, his face turning bright red. The combination of his red face and green hair reminded you of Christmas. Nearly exploding in laughter. "QUIT LAUGHING!"
Whack!
The bamboo sword made a splintering crack of an echo across your skull. "Ow... Okay" you rubbed your head trying to make the pain subside faster. "Let's go" you continued to rub your bruising forehead. Zoro held your hand gently within his own while the other kept his bamboo sword perched against his shoulder. Leading you back to his own home in the dead of night. You swung your arm in a playfull way, Zoro didn't mind and let you continue to play around. I am older than her, why ruin her fun?
"Here, climb in through the window" Zoro dragged you to a low hanging window located at the rear of his home.
"Why not the front door?" You asked innocently with a tilt of your bruised head.
"I'm not supposed to be out this late, so I sneak back in every night" Zoro replied with a cocky grin. Leaning his swords against his home before crawling into his bedroom.
"Same here!" You giggled, trying with all your might to crawl in after him. Your struggle was just too much to handle. Zoro picked you up by your arm pits, setting you down on his bed. "Thank you Zoro. I needed the lift"
"Oh... Don't mention it" Zoro's cheeks went a small shade of pink. But wasn't visible thanks to his tanned skin. Trying to shake it off, Zoro dug through his dresser. Finding his smallest pair of training clothes his dojo gave him when he first joined. "Well... Go change"
"Oh!" You snatched the neatly folded stack of clothes before running to the bathroom. Only to get confused once you came running back almost in a crying fit. "Zoro... I need help" you whimpered.
"Help?" Zoro had no clue what the problem was.
"I can't reach my bow" you spun around. The bow that kept your kimono tied and neat sat right above your rear. Perky and perfectly tied into this large bow the size of your head.
"Oh" Zoro stepped up to you. Tugging on one end of the silky fabric, till that perfect bow was no longer existent. Your kimono nearly slumped over your shoulders. "There you go"
"Thank you again Zoro!" You couldn't be any more gracious.
"Keep your voice down" Zoro hissed.
"Oh sorry" you spoke in a harsh whisper. Skipping off to the bathroom, keeping your kimono closed with crossed arms.
"Swords before girls!" Zoro smacked himself silly a few times to bring himself back into reality. I won't let a petty girl get in my way. I am only training her to be a swordswoman. That. Is. It.
"Zoro, Its a bit big on me" you stepped back into his bedroom not even a moment later. Your kimono draped over your arms neatly folded. His black training uniform was a bit loose as in long. But after you grow a few inches it should actually fit you properly.
"It shouldn't be a problem, lets get out there and start your first lesson" Zoro clasped his hands together. Giving you a hand out of the window once again before climbing out himself. Walking hand in hand with you back out to your thinking rock.
"Okay (Y/n) take your sword, and grasp it like this" Zoro held the bamboo sword by its taped hilt. You followed his example, feeling a rush like you've never felt before.
