Gold
Those golden eyes saw right through your soul as if you were nothing at all. Like a transparent ghost stuck on earth with absolutely nowhere to go. A weak girl who lost her way in life, there's nothing significant about you...
Dracule Mihawk, one of the seven Warlords of the Sea, kept his taunting golden eyes on you and you alone. The head of his recent victim wedged beneath his boot, exerting pressure on the helpless swordsman who groaned in pain at the action. Yet, motionless, unable to do a thing about his lowly position no better than dirt.
"Zoro!" Tears streamed down your face. Thrashing around in order to free yourself from Luffy's strong hold, unable to escape, rescuing Zoro from the cold blooded menace looming over him was the only thing on the mind. "Let me go Luffy!" You shrieked once again.
"No... You heard Zoro. His pride on the line," Luffy was as blunt as ever. Fighting against your useless struggling as if you were a child compared to their much stronger parents. His strength outnumbered yours from 10 to 1.
With a short cough, Sanji grabbed your attention to the fullest. "I don't agree with Luffy, but Mihawk is dangerous. Its probably in your best favor to keep your distance," Sanji stood idly by with nerves riled up. On the edge of his seat as the events to follow are completely unknown as far as the eye can see. Will Zoro live? Will Zoro die?
"Damn it you two!" You worked up the strength to free your legs from Luffy's trap. Kicking Sanji in the shin, throwing yourself backwards, bashing Luffy into the wall behind himself. But once again, the efforts were wasted because Luffy's grip didn't lighten. They tightened. "Don't either of you understand? Mihawk defeated Zoro! A Warlord like him won't spare Zoro especially after a loss. Let me go!!!"
"(Y/n)!" Zoro called out to you in a voice strained in the purest form of agony. Floating on that piece of Baratie debris where he lied with his chest gaping open, leaking what was a pool of his own blood that soaked into his white shirt and backside. Choking on thick coppery crimson while his eyes were drained of life little by little. Not once have you seen those grey eyes of his look so dead. "I'll wait for you (Y/n)..." You shivered by Zoro's words. Mihawk drew back his black blade sword, holding the mighty blade above his head. "I love yo-" Zoro's final words were cut off... Mihawk brought down his sword like an axe that deal the final blow.
Blood splattered every which way...
"ZORO!!!" Your ear splintering scream cut through the air, echoing within your mind. Vision going hazy, falling forward as your knees buckled under the absence of your mind. Luffy's hold on you let up to be non existent, you fell right over the white railing that surrounded the deck of the Baratie. Crashing into the rattled up blue sea, body tingling with pain upon contact. Each wave forced salty water into your lungs. Mouth open or not, water forced its way in. Coughing the water back up till your lungs were on fire. Just barely able to keep yourself above water, arms and legs powerless against the strength of the sea. Heart racing a mile a minute.
"Help!" You cried out once you had the free chance. Unable to pull yourself towards Zoro's corpse or the Baratie's shattered remains of a deck.. With each wave, you were pushed backwards. Losing all progress, losing all energy, the loss of the ability to save just yourself.
"H-Help *cough cough* help!" One last wave, you were done for. The impact dragged you beneath the water as if someone had strapped dead weights to your ankles. The inability to successfully get an entire intake of breath in beforehand was sure to be your doom as you sank and sank and sank. Ears pounding, lungs occupying more water than originally assumed. No oxygen to keep you afloat. Everything went black before you could even think about such a possibility...
