The crew decided to let you come to them about this secret Sanji had spoken to them about. No luck. Nobody found anything off or peculiar, just you acting like you with the love of your life by your side. Who hasn't got a clue as to what really is going on.
It was the last day on the island, almost everyone was bummed out to be leaving shore so soon. According to Luffy, the adventure awaits his arrival. So you had to respect your Captain's wishes, enjoying land while you still can. Zoro had taken you out on a nature walk, it was a reminder of the old days before the life of a pirate. When it was just you and Zoro. Whenever there was a new island, Zoro would just start walking, and walking, and walking. Until he's hopelessly lost, you remember the way back to the boat but he doesn't. So you'd laugh everytime Zoro would take a wrong turn. Eventually taking his hand and escorting him back home. Those days might've been before you both began to date, but they were golden memories.
Walking hand in hand, fingers entwined, this moment was just priceless. Watching the trees change in color and shapes. Sun beating on your skin through the opening in the leaves. Once in a while, the patches of sunlight blinded yourself. You began to fall behind... Again. Zoro slowed down his footsteps until it didn't feel as if he was dragging you behind himself. "Zoro!" It took everything you had, but you jumped as high as you possibly could. Clinging onto Zoro's backside, arms wrapped around his neck loosely. Zoro just almost fell backwards to your sudden weight thrown onto him. Zoro was just barely able to look over his shoulder. Finding his beautiful woman with a wide stretched smile overwhelming her calmed features.
Zoro let out a small laugh that lasted no longer than a second. Hooking his hands under your knees to support you. "What do you want?" Zoro asked, expecting some out of the ordinary request seeing how excited you are. Figuring since you eased up to the support of his hands, he already knew what you'd eventually ask. Feeling your heartbeat through your chest against his backside. Beating at an irregular quickened pace.
Continuing to smile, you nuzzled your face into Zoro's nape. "Can you carry me?
"I don't see why not. But next time, warn me."
"Alright," you hummed while loosening your hold around his neck. Zoro let out a relieved sigh as he could finally breathe once again, straightening out his legs. You could feel a shock wave surge throughout your entire body with each step Zoro made. At first uncomfortable, but it was something you could easily deal with. Enjoying the new view you had just gazing over his wide shoulders.
"So this is what it feels like to be tall." your eyes glittered.
"Ever since we were kids, you almost always were a fraction of my size," Zoro chuckled. Remembering back, you were always the one to get jealous over who the taller person was. Just one year younger than Zoro, you found that fact especially hard since girls get their growth spurts earlier than boys. Clearly you've grown out of that superstition, but the memories still remained.
Even you though back to those hilarious moments in your shared childhood. "Shut up Mosshead!" You couldn't help but pout.
"Quit calling me that..." Zoro repeated himself with a roll of his eyes. "That Shitty Cook can go die in a hole after giving me that stupid nickname."
"Awe is Mosshead grumpy?" You teased with a shy snicker.
"Shut up before I 'fall' and crush you under my weight," Zoro smirked as the threat had worked. Your eyes remained to be large and mouth zipped tight. Voice going into shut down mode; you knew when to stop with the teasing. All that was left was shallow breathing coming from your nostrils. "I just noticed," Zoro turned his head once more, peering into you (e/c) orbs. "How come you don't have your swords today?" Zoro noticed how much more lightweight you had become compared to when you'd normally have your two swords on hand. Now empty handed.
