I was currently with my co-writers. They were helping me fix up some verses for the song that I had written for my album that would be out soon.
"Taylor, we'd like to see you in the conference room," Daniel poked his head in the room.
"Okay, thanks. I'll be there in 5," I told him.
He shut the door.
"I think it's almost done," I said to the people currently in the room. "So I'll go and be back later today. Thanks guys," I smiled at them.
I exited the room and walked down the corridor. I entered the conference room and my manager motioned for me to take a seat.
"Taylor, we need to you make the final decision for the songs on the album."
"Ok, cool," I say. "Well obviously, Red, I Knew You Were Trouble and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together are going on the album."
They nod.
I continued. " I think that as well as releasing those three songs as singles we should also have 22, Begin Again and Everything Has Changed as singles."
Again, they just nodded. Wow, when they said they were allowing me to do a lot on this album, they really meant it.
"Apart from the other songs already decided, I also have a new song that I wrote last week that I would like to add to the album. It's called Girl At Home."
At this they all looked at each other and nodded (again) in agreement at something.
"Taylor, we need to hear this song first," they stated.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because we don't want you releasing anything that would bring about rumours or bad press about you," they replied.
"Okay, just let me grab my guitar."
After I had performed the song for them, they all had grim looks on their faces.
"What? Is there something wrong?" I question them.
"We don't think it has enough about you stopping the guy from cheating in the song," they tell me.
"What?" I say in disbelief. "The whole song is about not letting him cheat!"
"Taylor," they warned. "We just don't want a chance of a rumour about this. We also think that it should go on the deluxe edition, not the original."
"Fine, I'll change it!" I storm out if the conference room. Childish, I know.
