I sat in shock remembering it all. The friendship, the fight, and the arranged marriage. I looked up at Xavier who was looking at me with a stubborn look. He must have forgotten it all.

"I don't know, I don't remember taking this picture," I answered slowly. "Maybe it's someone that looks similar."

"Alexa that's impossible. George and Xavier are in the picture so that lady has to be Xavier's mom," Amber said pointing at the people in the picture.

"I'm going to ask your dad," Xavier said angrily. He started taking long strides towards the stairs. I ran up to him grabbing a fist full of his hood.

"You can't. My dad said to stay down here." I insisted.

He gave me a death glare and said, "I will not listen to someone that has my mom's photo and can't tell me why." Hearing Xavier say that I felt like exploding. It was his fault he had forgotten! Though it was also mine because I was to scared to tell him.

"Xavier if you don't listen he could call the cops," Amber said while twirling around a piece of paper she found on the ground. "We wouldn't be able to escape again because I would be captured too. It would also be bad for your fever."

"I don't have a fever. Can't you see that I'm fine?" Xavier asked putting his arms out so his body was open. That was impossible it had only been a few days.

"I can see that you are unstable," Amber answered pointing the folded piece of paper to his hand. Xavier's hand was shaking rapidly. I thought it was actually going to fall off.

Xavier looked at his hand and grabbed it. Hoping that it would stop. "Well staying down here isn't going to do me any good!" Pieces of drywall fell as Xavier yelled. He walked up the stairs ignoring my hand holding his hood. I tried pulling him back, but instead it back fired on me.

"Get off of me!" He yelled pushing me down. Air flew through strands of my hair as my back hit each one of the concrete stairs.

"What is going on down here!?" My mom stood at the top of the stairs with her hands on her hips. She took one look at me and rushed over, ignoring Xavier. Her face was blurry and I could barely see her. For the first time in years I wasn't mad at my mom.

"Mommy, my head is wet..." I trailed off. As she lifted my head my vision started turning red. At that moment I heard what sounded like Xavier coming down the stairs.

"Alexa!"
