My parents were glad I wasn't leaving the house but they knew something was up. I just couldn't face Xavier. What if he was the one that killed him. "Alexa, I need you to come help me shop for groceries." My mom called from downstairs.

"I'm not going." Did she not get that I didn't want to go.

"I don't care I need your help." I sighed and got dressed.

"Let's go." I said while walking out the door. My mom tried to talk to me a few times in the car but I just sat there in silence.

"Alexa, we're here." I hadn't even noticed.

"Mom I going to that store over there." I pointed to a clothing store. She nodded. I knew she didn't want me to help her she just wanted me out of the house. I walked up to the store and saw a sign. It was a warning sign with Xavier's picture on it. He looked happy like a little kid on Christmas.

"How can a boy that was so happy turn into a murderer?" I turned around to find a lady in about her mid forties. Standing behind me.

"Maybe the smiles fake." I couldn't believe myself. Why did I say that?

She looked a little shocked then smiled. "Then he's a very good actor."

"How do you know?" I turned my head to the side.

"I'm the mother of that boy." Wait, what!? She stood there as if she hadn't just said something really shocking. This lady was Xavier's mother.

"If he's your son go look for him!" I started screaming at her. "He's out there all alone!" All the passing people became spectators. "What if he's hurt?!"

"What if? He probably hurt this whole town including you." Everyone looked at me as if I was crazy. I walked away with a I don't care walk. Then when I got far enough away I dropped to my knees and started balling. My screams could probably be heard throughout the town.

"So you have started falling for me." That voice I would recognise anywhere.

"I don't want to see you." He walked around so I was facing him. He stood there with a smug look.

"Too bad, you're already here." He was so inconsiderate.

"Did you kill him?" I said. He bent down so we were face to face.

"I've killed a lot of people." Was he trying to be funny?

"The picture I dropped you killed the person in that picture. Didn't you?" I was trying to hold back my anger.

"Oh him, yeah I did. So what? I'm a murderer honey." His words stung me.

"Are you going to kill me one day then."

He laughed,"Maybe." I got up and started walking back. "Where're you going?"

"Away from you!" I called back.

"So does this mean you have lost interest in me?" I didn't answer. I didn't know how to answer.

After that I decided I wouldn't go home. I didn't want to face anyone. I ended up in an alley that was pitch black. I knew no one I knew would come here to look for me. As I was walking I heard a door creak. Is this the end? Was my first thought. Whoever it was got progressively closer.

"Well, look what we have here." There was a group of them and nowhere to run.

"Get away." I said quietly.

"Aww, we just want to have a little fun." I saw them get closer.

"I don't want to have fun with you guys."

"Aren't you a brave one." He was right. At the moment I was brave. Because I kept thinking about all the people that had been killed. They were probably terrified. I couldn't be like that I hung out with a murderer for god's sake.

"Then let's play." I laughed. It was like a blur they all started rushing towards me. A few of them punched me. Then I felt a hand wrap around my wrist and pull me out.

"Are you crazy!?" It was Xavier. He practically drug me behind him.

"Why are you here?" He stopped and turned around to face me.

"I'm here to save you, stupid!"
