TIME seemed to slow down when I'm with Taekook, as if we were in another dimension, separated from the cruel, ruthless reality. "I'm happy at Chanyeol's place. Ironic, isn't it?"

As I glanced up from where my head laid on his chest, I saw his face twitch in the slightest way. "Just focus on healing for now, okay?"

I pulled away, sitting up. The pain that used to be there when I made even the tiniest movement had subsided and almost faded completely. "What's wrong? You don't seem to happy with that idea."

Taekook managed a smile, running his hand through my hair. "I just want you to be safe, Chaeyoung."

I leaned in, giving him a long peck on the lips. "My attraction to you is greater than my fears. I'm not scared, Taekook. I've seen it all, been through it all."

His arm shot out and pulled me back down. "That's why I'm going to do everything to keep you away from experiencing those things again."

As I looked into his eyes, something tugged at my heart. The emotions in them, the way he watches me, as if I was precious and delicate, they just kept lingering at the back of my mind.

"Go to sleep, Chae," he whispered. "You need to rest."

A smile danced on my lips as I snuggled even closer to him. If this is what being in love feels like, I want to fall even deeper.

"Taekook?" I said suddenly, after a little while.

"Hm?"

Just hearing his voice sent fireworks to my heart. "I love you."

There was a moment of silence, and it scared me. I froze, worried that I was going too fast. Taekook laid his head against my mine, murmuring, "Can you tell me that everyday?"

I felt my eyes drop as my next words left my mouths "I will show you how much I love you until you don't need words to confirm it anymore."

Something wet fell onto my forehead, but by then, I was falling into deep slumber.

MY body didn't want to move. Every part of me was burning with desire, desire to stay and hold her forever.

"Please wait for me, chubby," I whispered, my voice almost getting caught in my throat. "Don't leave me when I'm gone, okay? It'll all be over soon."

Looking at Chaeyoung's face, I felt like I would stare forever. "You're so beautiful," I breathed out. "You'll always be perfect in my eyes."

My fingers reached out to caress her face. Why can't I say those words when you're conscious?

Because I feel guilty.

"I can only hope you will forgive me, chubby," I said lowly. Slowly, I lifted Chaeyoung's head from my arm and gently placed it onto the pillow. I released her arms that were wrapped around my abdomen and swung my legs out from underneath the blanket.

Before I left the room, I placed a long kiss to Chaeyoung's forehead and whispered, "Please keep the promise you told me before you slept, chubby. I'll be waiting for you to show me."
