Chapter 11:
I woke up with a cringe in my neck, to the sound of the alarm clock.
I grabbed my neck and tilted my head back.
"Owww.."
I turned around and slapped my hand on the alarm clock, shutting it off.
Exactly 7:00.
I was actually looking forward to going to school today. I jumped out of my medium sized bed and headed towards the showers. Well it is an early out today... Ill just put my hair up and head to school.
I took a glance at the mirror while i walked out, but stopped myself to inspect myself once more.
"Oh No."
I had a big red blotch right on my right cheek.
This is not good. Not good at all. I need makeup to cover it up, but I don't think I have any foundation!
I started digging and digging in my cabniets and drawers for any makeup that could cover it up and found absolutly nothing.
I can always tell them i tripped and fell, or I got an infection on my cheek. Who knows if anyone will even ask about it?
As I put on my yoga pants and a comfy shirt, I pinned my hair up and headed on downstairs.
When I took my last step down the stairs I noticed my father half asleep and half awake sitting down in the chair by the dining room table.
"Jade, whoever asks you about that bruise, you make sure they know they you were clumsy and tripped down the stairs." He stated, coldly looking up to me with his bloodshot eyes.
"That was gonna be my answer anyways." I said, showing no emotion.
He inspected me for several seconds and then looked down at his hands.
"If anyone finds out about this, well, lets just say no one will, got it?" He demanded.
"Yeah I know, and I know you wouldn't do it again, right father?" I asked, trying to give my best innocent look ever.
"Like I said, don't get me pissed off and then you probably won't have to deal with this or me, alright?"
Probably won't have to deal with this or him?
Are you serious?
So there's a possibiity he might just hit me for fun? Or entertainment? What is that suppose to MEAN?
I just nodded my head and tried as fast and smoothly as I could to walk past him towards the door.
"Oh and Jade."
I opened the door taking a step out and turned only my face to hear what he has to say.
"Yeah?"
"My drinking problems, have nothing to do with you."
His voice was mean and cold.
I slammed the door and sped walked to my car.
