Chapter 22:
I open my mouth to talk but then she places her hand on my face.
"WOAH WOAH WOAH HOLD UP." She yells.
"Do not tell me your father did all of this to you." Giving me a big concerning look.
I sigh and nod my head up and down. Then she places her hands on her head and starts to panic.
"No no no no, this is all my fault I could've stayed there and helped YOU! But I didn't! I stopped trying when I got shoved out the door when I should've kept trying! Ugh why did I do that! I-"
"Woah, Ally, calm the truck down will ya?" I smile at her to show her I'm fine but she doesn't budge. She blames herself for this which makes my heart shatter.
"This is not your fault Ally, don't take responsibility for my fathers actions."
I feel like I'm comforting her more than she is for me.
"No Jade I could've helped! But I- I just didn't?!" She was frustrated with herself. I should've gone to someone else's house.
"Ally, stop. Now." I grab her arms and pull them down and she looks at me.
"Are you mad at me?" She asks, her blue eyes are glossy.
"Mad? Of course not I want to be here with you and hang out! I'm not mad at you, this isn't your fault."
She starts to calm down and looks at me again.
"Are there anymore places where he hit you?"
I don't answer at first, should I tell her and have her worry all over again? Or just lie?
"No, I don't. What ya see is everything."
Lie it is than.
