But then, maybe everything that happened has its purpose. Bad or good, may purpose pa din. Hindi na natin maibalik sa dati ang friendship. Kasi may lamat na. Kasi alam natin, na never namang hanggang kaibigan lang ang turing natin sa isa't isa.
There's more to that.
Years passed. We're still far from casual.
I was asked in an interview. If I were to choose between love and friendship, what would my choice be?
Love
Not because I like romance... No.
Because what is friendship without love? A family without love..
Minahal kita. Mahalaga ka sakin. Naging sentro ka ng buhay ko. Lakas kapag nanghihina ako. Panyo kapag umiiyak. Unan kapag nalulungkot.
But I chose to just get over everything.
Alam mo kung bakit?
Kasi leche 'yang pagkukunwari niyo! My sister broke up with his boyfriend! She confessed that she fell for you. Na naging totoo lahat.
Bakit ba kasi sa umpisa pa lang hindi mo sinabi sakin yung totoo? Wala ka bang tiwala sa akin? Sa friendship natin?
That if it's one sided.. Panandaliang pagbabago lang? Dahil matatag ang friendship natin. Dahil kahit ano pang dumating, we'll remain by each other's side. Na kahit man masakit, maibabalik natin lahat sa dati.
Pero baka tama lahat ng naisip mo. Hindi tayo kasing tatag ng akala ko.
Because when you should confess, you chose to trick me. You chose to use someone to make me admit my feelings first.
And when I should go back to you, when I should go back when it all started, I chose to let go. I chose to value my sister's feelings.
We both had a choice. Pero masyado tayong duwag kaya mas pinili nating saktan ang isa't isa.
This may be tragic. But through this, we learned our lesson. May you be happy with my sister through your life. And I'll try to be happy, too. Watching your kids grow. Watching both of you grow old together. Watching from afar.
