Chapter Five: Ash
John couldn't believe Sherlock did that, he knew that he could be a little out there and closed off but he didn't think he would be that stupid. She could have gotten hurt or worse. You can't trust these London streets. John rushes outside hoping to see (Y/N) stand there waiting for a cab. The only thing he could see was her phone and bag on the ground. John knew this wasn't a good sign.
He didn't want to think it but couldn't deny it, (Y/N) has been kidnapped.
"Sherlock, you ass. I knew this would happen." John shouts as he storms back into the apartment and slams the front door open. John enters in and slams the door shut. Sherlock is already dressed in his long overcoat and his cap prepared to go.
Sherlock smiles and says, "The game is on, John. Do you feel the rush? Oh, such a feeling."
"Sherlock, dear. You shouldn't be saying that she could be in some serious danger. They could hurt her o-or worse," Mrs Hudson sternly says while clutching her teacup tightly. Mrs Hudson really likes (Y/N) and doesn't want to lose her. She knows that (Y/N) might be Sherlock only chance of a mundane lifestyle.
John begins to say, "Sherlock, (Y/N) just got kidnapped and you're -" Teacup shatters in Mrs Hudson's hands.
"There is no time, John. Time is ticking," Sherlock says as he opens the door and John trails behind him. The whole time while John mumbles insults about Sherlock to try to get his mind of (Y/N).
(Y/N) opens her eyes but has trouble seeing because her vision is very blurry. She can feel tightness around her wrists and ankles. 'Okay, I need to stay calm and calculate my current situation,' (Y/N) thinks. She gives her eyes a few minutes adjusts to the darkness of the room, the only light comes from the windows. Moonlight flows into the room through the stained-glass windows. She tenses all her muscles hoping that it will loosen up the ropes so it will be easier to escape.
By the looks of things, (Y/N) knows she's in a church. Light whimpering comes from the shadows. (Y/N) didn't know there was another person here other than her. She relaxes all her muscles that were tense and she can feel the ropes get looser. (Y/N) wiggles around trying to get the rope tied around her chest off. After minutes of wiggling persistence, she manages to get the ropes around her chest off.
As her eyes adjust to the lack of light and (Y/N) sees four children vary in ages tied up in chairs next to her. Children!!? She thought, 'what a massive gaping asshole kidnapping such innocent beings'. (Y/N) whispers,"It's going to be okay. Calm down, I will help you get out of this."
She didn't know if she was comforting herself or the children. (Y/N) could feel her heart pounding on her rib cage. 'Fear is just going to hold me back,' (Y/N) trying to convince herself to calm down. She knows that she needs to get this tape off her hands which is bounding her hands together. (Y/N) stands up and raises her hands above her head, and then brings them down quickly against her stomach, pulling her elbows apart at the same time. Light fills the room and making it easier to see. Written on the wall corresponding the chair she was bounded to, was a sentence on the wall.
'BURN YOU FILTHY NIGGERS'
So that's his plan to burn us in church (Y/N) thinks as she helps the children with the ropes and duct-tape, 'How can this dumb ass get rid of evidence like it's nothing but doesn't know how to use proper grammar??!' The smell of gasoline wafts through the room. They need to get out of this room now. (Y/N) says, "Go help the others, I am going to find a way out of here."
She runs to the gigantic door and tries to open it but it wouldn't nudge. She thinks, 'How am I going to smash this window?' (Y/N) looks around the room trying to find a heavy object to smash the window. She looks back at where the children were and they are now all untied. (Y/N) still, doesn't understand why he decided to this, she thought he would commit more murders before doing something so outrageous.
He must have been shaken by something or someone. (Y/N) wonders why her first thought is Sherlock. (Y/N) wonders why her first thought is Sherlock. He might have thought he was going to go down soon but he wants to take more people down with him which explains the children. There is a massive chance that he is going to kill himself. The question now is why her? She hasn't been going to the crime scenes but Sally is also black and has been at the crime scenes.
The unmistakable smell of smoke wafts through the room, not even a five seconds after a corner of the room is on fire. She whispers to the children, "Cover your mouth with your shirts."
Children couldn't help but scream and cry out for help. (Y/N) grabs the small statue of Jesus and throws it at the gigantic window. Glass shatters and falls to the ground. (Y/N) grabs the hand of one of the children and guides them closer to their escape. At this point, more than half of the room is consumed by flames, every second getting closer to (Y/N) and the others.
Sherlock and John run towards the sound of the windows shattering to see (Y/N) and four other children. John opens his arms as (Y/N) picks up the smallest child and passes the child to him. The oldest-looking child grabs Sherlock hand and jumps out of the building. After getting the last child out of the building, I turn back around to see the room before I escape and turn to leave.
The force from behind threw (Y/N) to the ground, and she was awash in light and heat and deafness. Shes tastes blood and dirt and pavement, and her lungs burn from the lack of oxygen and realize she's been knocked to the ground. (Y/N) is having trouble seeing and her ears feel like they're stuffed with cotton. She's dizzy, her ears are ringing from a roaring boom.
(Y/N) thinks, 'What's going on?'
