Chapter[8]

Audrey sat at the little table inside Starbucks with her laptop open and ready and a cup of caramel Frappuccino to keep her energy high and creative juices flowing. It had only been a full night since she last wrote about her fictional crush, Cole, and that was too much time away.

Writing about Cole was a precedent addiction that she could not or rather would not shake.

Indie music played lowly in the background as she typed softly onto her laptop creating a new chapter:

Chapter 4:

The women Cole slept with held no hold or strings on him. He was a fuck 'em and leave 'em kind of man and kept it that way. So when he rolled over in the bed of his "getaway" condo and saw the girl he was with hours ago was no longer there, he actually smiled.

She knew the deal and he didn't even have to tell her. He didn't like the type that stuck around till he woke up talking about wanting to spend the day with him and shit. That was penalty to getting thrown out the house and subjugating to him losing her number completely. He didn't have time for emotional women. He already had a hard time dealing with one.

Rolling out of the bed with a stretch to the sky and a yawn to wake up a sleeping baby, he scratched the bottom of his back and made his way in the bathroom to pee and brush his teeth. It was only Sunday mourning so he figured why not go for a coffee run. It was a routine habit he had picked up from when him and Nicole first got together.  It was one of the few habits he enjoyed doing.

Putting on a pair of Levi jeans and a simple plain T-shirt,  he grabbed his keys, phone and Wallet and headed out the door to Starbucks.

Cole stepped inside the Starbucks now eager to have his  coffee. The smell of the coffee beans and the sound of the blenders had his mind wandered back to his over reactive wife. She had a temper to create armageddon which he still found hard to believe that a woman of 5'2 and a hundred and ten pounds could even have that much rage.

Even though he was the one to place that rage.

Making his way to the front of the line he recognized one of the employees named Laurie.  She was a petite blond with blue eyes that he thought were just beautiful.  Shit,  even though Cole wasn't down with the swirl and younger women,  he did admire a beautiful woman when he saw one and she sure as hell was a beauty.

Laurie smiled warmly at Cole recognizing him as a regular customer and couldn't help but admire how good looking he was.  She was sure he was at least five years older than her but he was definitely something nice to look at.  She could see the definition of his muscles through his shirt and tried her best not to blush at this beautiful chocolate man that stood before her.

"Hey there Cole. The Usual?"

Her voice was soft and smile bright.
"You know me too well." He replied with his own sm-

Did Audrey hear correctly?

Audrey could have sworn she heard a voice that sounded exactly like the voice her Cole would have. Maybe she was hearing things. She looked up over to the cashier counter. She sat in the back of the coffee shop by the door.  So whoever stood at the counter,  she would only be able to see the back of the person.

She peeked over the top of her laptop and towards the counter.  She could  barely see the person who stood in front for there were other people in the line.

Impossible.

She shook her head slightly and even found herself laughing softly at her own absurdity. There was no way in hell that the Cole,  her fictional character Cole was here in the shop. It was totally and utterly-

"Excuse me, miss?"

Audrey froze in her own thoughts. She was terrified to even look up.

It couldn't be.

She slowly looked up at the towering but built figure that stood in front of her.

No other than her handsome,  dreamy,  chocolaty character, Cole.

He smiled a mega-watt smile that Audrey always saw in her mind to be enough to make a girl weak and take her breathe away.

"I saw you from the line and just wanted to let you know how incredibly beautiful I think you are." His voice was deep and rich. Words sliding off his tongue like melted chocolate.

To him, she would make a blind man see. Even if she was only wearing yoga pants and a Nike runners top. Her hair was braided neatly to side and those eyes, those big brown eyes.

Audrey heard his words but couldn't really process them. She was still stuck on how the hell this was even possible. She wanted to get up and run but she also had many, many questions.

Not being able to get a hold of her thoughts she continued to stare.  But one thing she knew for sure was that he was just how she imagined him to look. He had the complexion of coffee with cream and sugar. Muscles that could tear though his shirt and eyes of deep brown that she could loose all of herself in. She even saw that small dimple on his left cheek when he smiled again at her to get her attention.

But he had all of her attention and then some.

Before she could catch herself and stop the word vomit,  she asked,  "Is you're name Cole?"

Please say no...

He squinted his eyes a bit trying to see if he recognized her but someone this beautiful he was sure he would never forget.  With a face that angelic, he swear he would dream of her.

"No, Corey, but do I know you from somehwere?"

Audrey could breathe easy but still,  he looked just like him...

Could it be?
