Corey seemed nowhere to be found when Audrey woke up that morning. When she opened her eyes and turned over to face him, she was instead seeing an empty side of the bed with the sheets still pulled back and a note on a white piece of her stationery paper laying on the pillow.

Audrey didn't know what to make of it. She wanted to be angry, fed up and ashamed for letting him get to her. She felt like a used woman and it made her sick to her stomach. Instead, she opted to scream in frustration in her pillow. She flipped her face into her pillow and pounded the bed with her fist. She felt played and very vulnerable. She didn't even want to look at the note. She just knew it said something along the lines of 'I had fun. Till next time.' Or some corny bullshit like that a guy would say to a one night stand. Well, at least that's what it felt like.

Done letting her anger out, she looked at the note lying on the other pillow and reached for it.

"Headed in to work. I'll call you later."

Audrey tossed the note on the floor and rolled over on her back with her hands on her forehead.

This wasn't supposed to happen.

Looking at the clock on her nightstand, she decided to go for a run. It seemed like the only option for her to clear her head. She felt like dwelling on Corey any longer was going to give her a brain aneurysm. All in all she needed a break from everything and everyone. So, she got dressed, grabbed her windbreaker, iPod, keys and left out the door making sure to lock it behind her.

Feeling a lot better, Audrey was now back in her apartment relaxing on the couch with the phone to her ear. It was Marcus calling to check up on her since he hadn't heard from her since that night from the club.

"What do you say? Dinner tonight?" Audrey looked at the TV not even bothering to pay attention to the show. She was more so debating with herself. She'd just fucked Corey not even twelve hours ago and here was Marcus on the phone asking to take her out. What was she to do?

"Audrey?"

"Hmm?"

"You're awfully quiet over there. If you don't want to go, that's fine. I just figured since I haven't seen you in a while, I thought I would call you and ask you out." It was a short pause. "That and I can't get you out of my head."

Audrey slightly smiled and bit her bottom lip. Marcus was a total sweetheart and she could agree that the last time he was there, they couldn't keep their hands off each other. She did miss his company. He brought nothing but positive vibes and it was refreshing with everything else going on around her.

"Yeah, we can do that. What time should I be ready?"

"How's seven-thirty?"

"Perfect."

"See you soon, beautiful." Audrey smiled. "Bye."

Shortly after she hung up, her phone rang flashing Krystle's name across the screen. Sliding her finger across her phone to answer, she put it to her ear.

"Hey girlie, what's up?"

"Nothing much, look, I have a favor to ask you." Audrey laid horizontally on the couch.

"Sure, what is it?"

"Will you come with me to my first doctors appointment? I'm slightly nervous to go by myself."

"I'm not saying no, but why is the baby's father not going with you?" To come to think of it, Audrey really hadn't heard anything about the guy that knocked Krystle up. Audrey really didn't want to pry but she strongly felt he should be there, at least for the child.
