Chapter[9]
Audrey sat up on her bed, watching her phone for any notification of Corey texting her. Of course, giving her number to him when he asked for it was the right thing to do.She knew that.
After sitting with him in the cafe for those thirty minutes she came to realize that he was everything like her character that she was writing about. He was a charmer, a joker, and all about his business. He worked for some fortune five hundred company called Scottman's and Warner's Associates. They specialized in stocks and blah blah blah. She didn't pay attention to too much of what he was saying. Her eyes kept wandering to those plum, delicious lips.
But it ended quickly, being he had some errands to finish to before heading into work later on and and she couldn't resist the urge to ask for his number. She was already drawn to this man nad as she kept glancing at her phone, she soon came to realize that she may even become addicted.
She had this determined feeling to find out exactly if Corey was anything like her fictional character.
The same body features.
That cute dimple.
Those full lips.
Those gorgeous brown eyes.
His laugh.
Sounded all and looked the same like what she thought in her head for Cole to be. While he spoke to her in the coffee shop, continuing to compliment her, Audrey just couldn't shake his resemblance.
She leaned back against the headboard, turned on her TV that was mounted on the wall and closed her eyes and waited...
What seemed to be like forever she opened one eye looking down at her phone to see if she could have missed the vibration. Tapping the screen twice, she groaned in disappointment. It had been almost four hours since she seen him. If he hadn't called her or sent a text as soon as they departed, she was sure he was going to be in contact with her later on-
"You can be my vixen,
As we improviseeee,
Delivering a captivating performance in return-"
Audrey popped up quick heart beating fast as she grabbed her phone and couldn't stop the butterflies from fluttering furiously in her belly. She tapped the screen and put the phone to her ear.
"Hello?" She said into the phone breathlessly.
"Hey, it's Corey." She swooned at the deep baritone of his voice. It was sexy and made her body warm all over. "Was I interuppting anything?" He questioned. If he was interrupting anything he would just call at another time. He never really took into account if she had a man or a family. All he could think about was her beautiful face and those to die for curves.
Get it together Audrey!
She smiled, "No, no. What's up?" She fumbled with the edge of the sheets, twirling a straw string around her finger awaiting for his response.
"I really just got back in the house. Since I left you, something came up at the office and I had to get back as soon as possible. That's why I'm calling so late now." Audrey had a 'ah-ha' moment and remembered it was a work day for most normal people. She had to sometimes remind herself that not everyone had as much free time as herself. She looked to her alarm clock on her nightstand and shrugged.
It was only 9:45pm. To her that wasn't late at all.
"It's not late at all. It's actually pretty early."
