He paused.
"Tuesday?" She repeated. "Well, that was two days ago. So... I guess I'll never know."
"Odd. It would have been seen if it was there when we were securing the scene. Why would someone send you an invitation for a party that already happened?"
She shook her head. "Beats me."
"Would you have gone if you did get it?"
She smiled at his question and shrugged. "Probably not. Its not like I have something to wear just in case I get an invite to an All Hallow's Eve Ball."
He chuckled. "Fair Enough. Sounds kind of cool though. Like you have gone back in time."
"I guess I'll never know. Want another beer?"
"Sure."
She spun around and grabbed another beer from the back of her fridge. When she stood up; she suddenly felt dizzy. Bo jumped to his feet with the invitation still in his hand. She felt it jab into her arm when he grabbed at her arms as she fell. Bright white lights flashed constantly for two seconds. Then her stomach was in her throat like she was on a rollercoaster ride. Bo's arms slid around her waist tightly like he was trying to hold onto her. His voice was muffled so she couldn't hear what he was saying. It was like he was speaking through a mouth full of marshmallows. A blast of air took her breath away. Three more white flashes and the room went black around her again. She was out of breath, but okay.
'Was that hay she smelled?' She tilted her head slightly away from Bo to get a better sniff. She could smell... pine and... hay? 'I need to sit down.' She thought.
She tapped him on the shoulder to let him know she was fine and he could let go. He didn't release her. Instead, she felt his heartbeat double and breath shorten.
"Bo? You can let me go. Sorry about that. I dropped your beer." She lightly pressed on his chest to get him to take a step back.
"I..umm..."
"It's just a bit of broken glass and spilled beer. I'm sure you have been through worse as an officer. I'm fine. There's a hand broom and dustpan in the cabinet behind me. Let me go and I'll grab it."
"But..." He loosened his grip. His voice was barely a muffle. She spun to wear the kitchen cabinets should be, but her hand felt nothing but air. She almost lost her balance again. He grabbed her again. "There's no kitchen."
