I feel like I jumped around a lot in this, but it's one of my quicker updates in awhile, so you're welcome(; Anyways, I really, really want to thank you guys for all of your continued support. I know I say it a lot, but it means so much to me that so many of you still follow me despite my disappointingly slow updates. So, without further adieu, enjoy, lovelies. xxx

“No way!” I argued back to Cole as I threw my arms up in exasperation.

“Don’t argue with me, Cassandra!” He said, turning his nose up at me.

I punched him in the shoulder, earning an amused chuckle in response. “Don’t use my full name, jerk,” I muttered, choosing that moment to stomp ahead of him and Cortnee. The first horror film had just ended, which left Cole and I in a heated argument about which was the better classic monster movie: The Wolf Man, or Dracula. I sided with the former, while he chose to argue back at me with the latter. It was all fun and games until he started pushing all the wrong buttons, especially since he knew exactly how to irritate me. All I had to say was, he was so lucky he was cute.

“Cassie, get back here!” I heard Cole demand, though the smile was evident in his voice.

“Why don’t you try to make me?” I shot over my shoulder at him. I hitched my jacket up around myself, feeling quite smug. That was, until I felt my feet leave the ground, and the world was turned upside down as Cole slung me over his shoulder.

“Cole!” I gasped in shock. I reached back to make sure my black pea coat was covering what the skimpy skirt didn’t, suddenly regretting the burlesque outfit.

“Yes?” He replied in a sing-song voice.

I swung my fists and brought them down hard on his back, though it didn’t seem to have much of an effect on him. “Put me down, Stupid!”

“I’m sorry, what was that?” He feigned confusion, only to chuckle as I huffed in frustration.

“Cole, I can feel the blood rushing to my head. Please put me down,” I begged.

“Okay, okay, no need to whine,” he joked lightheartedly as he sat me gently back down on my feet.

Mustering up my best scowl, I reached forward and attempted to punch him in the chest, though he intercepted my hand mid swing. “Someone’s a little feisty today,” he commented with a raised brow and accompanying smirk.

I opened my mouth to respond, but Cortnee cut me off. “I hate to interrupt your flirting fest, but if you’ll excuse me, I think I’m going to go find Randy.” With that, she broke away from us and began to weave her way through the crowd, in search of her newest fling.

“Well, she’s a bit of a grumpy gills today,” I mumbled. I was used to Cortnee’s occasional mood swings and desire to run off with her boy toys, though, so I didn’t pay too much attention to the attitude. “Meanwhile,” I sighed to Cole, “it looks like they’re a little behind on the costume contest. That means we probably have enough time to walk around some more before we head to the stage.”
