I slowly began to drift asleep. As I became lost in my thoughts I remembered my old school. Old friends. No wait, old 'friends'. Who I'm going to mention next is someone who barley knew I existed in the sence that I lost something that I never owned. Jaydon Parker, your average high school playboy. There was just something that he had that every girl in our year group wanted. Including myself. We all ignored the fact that he was a total jerk who's ego was the biggest thing he owned. We never talked much. But when we did, I sounded like Dory trying to speak whale. It was my worst skill.

I was only sixteen the first time I didn't fail at my speech. I was hanging out with Ella, Phoebe and two other friends I had. Neila and Raya. Funny enough, we all liked him. Of course he would only talk to Phoebe at the time since the rest of us just happened to forget what was English when we were around him. It came to the point were I needed to get it off my chest and say something to him. So resolved to what I do best. Writing. It look a few days but I wrote out everything I wanted to tell him about how I felt on folder pages. I stapled the five pages together and left it in his locker. I didn't realize how cliché five whole pages were.

That same day, when lunch began, I followed him to his locker and hid behind a post. I was definitely not stalking him. I watched him turn the lock on his locker opening the door and the note falling out. He bent down to pick it up as he began reading. I was so anxious. What would he think? In my head I had very high expectations which I quickly relized were false. He simple read the first page, crumpled up the note and threw it away.

I felt so dumb. Oviously I didn't say anything to him the next day. I thought to myself, maybe I dodged a bullet since he went on to play every single girl from our class. First was Phoebe, then Neila, Raya, Kate, Alyssa, Hayley, and the list goes on. Most recently Ella who deserves what she got and more. I'm not one to hold grudges but if I ever see Jaydon or Ella again, I swear I'll slap them.

I snapped back to reality as I hear a siren begin to play. Nathan bursts into my room to see what's wrong.

"IS EVERYTHING OKAY? IS THERE A FIRE!" He shouts over the loud noise.

"Nope, just my alarm going off. You didn't stay up all night studying did you?" I said.

"Wait It's morning already. I didn't get any sleep. We need to get dressed!" He replied frantically.

"Nathan it's Saturday. You can sleep." I told him as he released a breath of relief.

"Oh good. Well goodnight." He said as he walked back to his room.

I did the opposite and decided that I wanted to explore our new area. As I walked downstairs I called Haven.

"Good morning! Did I wake you?" I asked.

"No. Maybe. Yes." She said laughing, " What's up?"

"Are there any good places nearby where we could get some breakfast?" I asked.

"Sure I can pick you up in a few minutes. I just need to get dressed. " she replied.

"Cool. Tell Ara as well. I'll be ready in ten minutes. I'll text you my address." I told her.

"Okay see you soon." She said as I hung up the phone.

"Nathan, I'm going to breakfast, do you want anything?" I asked waiting for a reply. Oh that's right. He's asleep. I'll just bring him back some waffles. I grabbed my phone and headed outside as I saw Haven and Ara pulling up by the gate. I got into the car as Haven drove us.

"Where exactly are we heading too Haven?" I asked.

"You'll see. Ara loves this place. We go there almost every week. I think you'd like it."

As we continue to drive we started listening to the radio. We all had a favor for the same type of music. Seven or so songs played and then we arrived.

"Welcome to 'K's', my favorite place for breakfast and lunch." Ara told me.

We all stepped out of the car and began walking to the front doors. The place was almost completely full with few empty tables. While Ara went to save us seats, Haven and I stayed in the line to order. Haven ordered for Ara and herself. Both of them taking pancakes with a strawberry smoothie. I took waffles for both Nathan and I and a milkshake for just me.

We went to Ara and sat down as we began to enjoy our food.

"So what do you think of the place?" Ara asked me.

"It's very pretty." I said. There were flowers everywhere which brought out the colour of the dark oak wooden floors against the white tables. There were huge windows that were taller than me which let in a lot of light. It was a really nice atmosphere for us to get to know each other. Although we only met yesterday, I could tell these weren't going to be 'friends'. We'd be amazingly trustworthy and genuine friends. We sat and talked for so long. They really got to know me and I got to know them. I opened up about most of my secrets that no one knew off. But for some reason I have a good feeling about these two girls. I felt comfortable around them. I think I can really trust them. But each in a unique, different way.

Ara, more or less seems very mature and responsible. Always on top of her game with a sharp mine. Her favorite color is purple but she dresses with more neutral colors of clothing, particularly black and white. Her eyes are storm grey with dark chocolate rings. She has an edgy style with short boy cut, hazel brown hair.

Haven, an amazing, kind-hearted alien of passion. She seems understanding and isn't one to judge you. Her favorite color is sky blue that match her deep ocean blue eyes. She makes the funniest jokes that always make me laugh until I can't breath. She thinks with her heart, not her mind.

For some reason, I see something hidden in Haven, but I just don't know what it is. Ara as well. It's like they each have their own story. Completely different, crazy stories.

I think I just met my best friends.
