Forever Fades Away

Chapter 21: Games

We all got home to my house. We took advantage of the winter Friday evening and we thought why not have the guys spend the night. What could go wrong?

"Hello?" I answered my phone.

"Aria! Is everything okay? I heard about what happened in school?"

"Yes Nathan. Everything is okay. Thanks for asking. The guys are spending the night."

"No problem. Hoseok, Jin, Namjoon and I have a project to work on. I'll spend the weekend at there house."

"Okay."

"Are you sure you'll be okay by yourself?"

"Yes Nathan. Besides, I have a mom over here." I said just as she walked in.

"Was I summoned?" Ara asked.

"Ah. See, must be motherly instincts." I told her.

"Okay. I see you're in good care. Have fun." He hung up.

We decided to play a game and then we'd go to sleep. It was getting pretty late already. Not to mention cold. I got out one of Nathan's old childhood games. Headbands! Everyone put one on and we sat in a circle on the carpet.

"Can I fly?" Haven asked us.

"Yes" we all replied.

"Am I am insect?"

"Yes."

"I'M A BUTTERFLY?!"

"YES!"

"Another point for you. That makes you in the lead with Kookie following up in second place." Ara tallies up.

"Before we find out who the loser is, we need a challenge for them!" Jimin says.

"For the loser? Okay. What do you have in mind?" Kookie asked. He was pretty confident that he wasn't losing.

"The loser has to kiss the person to their left."

That's it? That's not so bad.

"But Haven is to my left." Ara said.

"Well then you better not lose! Those lips are mine!" Jimin warns Ara.

"Technically there still mine." Haven defends.

To my left was Kookie! Ara wouldn't tell us the scores until the game ended. Aish. If I kiss Kookie, Ara would kill me.

"Okay time to count! Fun!" Ara began the final tally.

"And the winner is....HAVEN!"

"YEY! Wait. Aw. Then I can't kiss my Mochi."

"We have whole night. Don't worry princess." Jimin winked at her.

"Wait so who lost?" Yoongi asked.

"You Yoongi!" Ara tells him.

Phew. I don't have to kiss Kookie. Wait. I was also next to Yoongi. On his left.

Internally facepalming.

Before I could say anything he turned my face to his. He put his heated lips on mine. He was soft and gentle. Passionate even. I guess he didn't want to pop any of that bubble wrap.

"Okay! Bed time my babies!" Ara tells us.

Nathan's room was empty so Haven and Jimin stayed there. Then again. Putting those two behind closed doors may not be a smart move. Ara allowed it anyways. She obviously wanted to stay with Jungkook so they both took the living room. Yoongi and I took my room. We all got ready for bed and split into our designated places.

Yoongi was so warm and comforting. I could stay in his arms all night.

"Thought moving away was your escape hu?" A female voice said.

"Who said that?" I answered confused.

"Don't play dumb Aria! You know exactly who I am!" She continued.

"Who are you? What do you what!"

"I have a game for you Kim Aria!"

What. Who is she. Why is she in my room.

"I'm not playing any games! Leave me alone!"

"Ah. You'll play my game if I have the ones you care for."

What! She better not harm anyone of my friends or family!

"Leave them out of this!"

"Let's see. We can start with that friend of yours who replaced me! What was her name now? Haven was it?"

Replaced her?

"Wait."

"Yes Aria, It's me."

"No. It can't be. How did you find me!"

"The one and only Phoebe! I know you too well!"

I shot up from the bed. I was dumbfound.

"Aria! Are you okay?" Yoongi woke up.

I didn't answer still shocked from my dream.

"You're breathing heavily. What's wrong?"

"Um..not-nothing. I just can't sleep."

"Calm down. I'll fall asleep with with you." He lied back down and pulled my head to his chest.

"T-Thank you Yoongi." I said still trembling.

"Just relax and breathe." He began playing with my hair.

"What game are you talking about!"

"Oh. Trust me! It's really fun! Well maybe for me."

"Quite your shit Phoebe! What game?"

"Revenge...." she trailed off.

I woke up again.

"Aria? You're clearly not okay? Please tell me what's wrong?"

"Quick! Where is Haven!?"

"In Nathan's room with Jimin remember."

I ran to their room. I peeped in. Thankfully they were both sleeping soundly. I went back to Yoongi.

"What is wrong?" He asked again.

"I don't know. I have a bad feeling. Something isn't right." I flopped back onto the bed.

"Don't worry. Everything will be okay." His arms wrapped around me.

He warmed me back to sleep. I felt safe when he was there.

"No! Leave them both alone!"

"You'll see Aria! You'll go through what you put me through!"
