Brad's POV:
I hang up the phone and walk back to the table. Luckily James' guardians have gone back to their room because they thought we should meet them there in case we wanted to talk a little longer. I slide my phone in my pocket and approach the back of Alyson's chair. James looks up at me and Alyson turns around in her chair to see what he's paying attention to.
"Oh, hey babe," she says.
"Babe?" I say like if she's used the word to different guys as well.
"Yeah, babe."
"Are you sure I'm your babe? Or was James your babe before?" I strike.
I watch as all the color from her face flushes away. The smile on her face has vanished, her words seem to be choked back, and she plainly stares into my eyes.
"H-how did you know?" she asks.
"When I was talking to Kaiden on the phone right now, some guy came asking if I was James, the one who dated you," I emphasize the word "dated."
"There's nothing to it..." James adds.
"Shut up," I look at him and he stands up to stand in front of me.
"Hey, we may be best friends, but I'm not afraid of you," James stands his ground.
Alyson's POV:
What's going on? Tonight was suppose to be a night of laughs and good times, but now it's been stripped away just like everything nice that I've once had for a short amount of time. But now, I see Brad and James arguing right in front of me. I stand up and get in the middle of them, pushing them in opposite directions.
"Why didn't you tell me Alyson?" Brad demands to know.
"Brad, I'll tell you later, just not here, not now," I keep my hand on Brad's chest and the other hand on James' chest.
"Lets just go, please, I'll explain it all to you at the cabin, please," I beg.
Brad starts to walk to the exit and we walk out back to his car. We arrive back to the resort, have left the fancy restaurant, and we get out, rushing inside. The headlights from James' car immediately shine on us as he pulls into the driveway and gets out, leaving the car on. "Brad! What the fuck?! You're just going to try to start something and not finish it?!" James yells and Brad quickly turns around to yell back.
"James, please, stop," I beg.
"And what the hell are you going to do about it?!" Brad yells back.
"Brad, stop," I half plea and half demand as I grab onto his shoulder to stop him.
"I'll deal with you later," Brad says as he swats away my arm.
"Excuse me? Deal with me later? Brad, it was in the past! It's nothing anymore!" I yell.
"Whatever," Brad says.
"Bradley William Simpson, if you take one step closer to James, our relationship is over," I say.
"I feel like I don't even know you, anymore," I add.
Brad turns around.
"Like you don't know me? Me? I don't know you Alyson! I don't! I thought you were this amazing beautiful girl, but you're not! You're just like the rest!"
"Please don't take that step, Brad," I say in tears.
He takes that step forward.
