Bianca rolled away and picked up her sword as another bolt off fire was shot towards her, she stood up quickly her sword out.
"Come on Bianca just stand still and let me hit you, don't you want to be resting like Jason is." She raised her hand and continued shooting fire at her.
Bianca looked towards the shack, she hasn't seen or heard any movement from there. "Hopefully he's alright." she thought to herself. She needed to get close to Mirabelle, she couldn't keep dodging her attacks. She brought her sword up and began running towards her, Mirabelle raised her hands.
"Iram Iovem." Lightning shot out of her hands, Bianca rolled to the side, got up and shouldered Mirabelle.
"Mirabelle snap out of it, what is wrong with you?!" Bianca sheathed her sword and grabbed a piece of wood from the shack. She needed to stop her but she didn't want to hurt her.
"Bianca there's absolutely nothing wrong with me, this is who I am. Look..." she stretched her arms out, a red glow flowing through her veins, her black eyes staring at her, "this is when I am at my most powerful, when I am at my true form." Bianca swung the piece of wood at her head, Mirabelle raised her hand and stopped it, "You know the problem with you knights"
She used her other hand and tossed Bianca aside, "you think that the whole team depends on you, every single Knight I've met in the Academy has been such arrogant shits." A bright red sigil appeared under her feet. Bianca looked up, the look in Mirabelle's eyes had her completely paralyzed. "When in reality you all rely on us all the time."
"Mirabelle... please.. stop this." Mirabelle stared at Bianca as she stared at her horror stricken and helpless. She smiled widely, large canines shining in the moonlight. "Poor little Bianca, scared and alone. Just like always." her eyes shined red, "You'll never be anything like your brother's." she smiled and laughed, "and deep inside you know it."
Bianca closed her eyes and shook her head, "No no no get out of my head." a strong overwhelming mixture of feelings began running through her body.
"Poor sweet little Bianca... Trying to live up to your families legacy, but never been nothing more than a black sheep. How sad... and pathetic." she heard in her head. Bianca covered her ears, "Stop stop please."
"How about we have some fun, let me see what else you have in that pretty little head of yours... ughhh" Mirabelle's body dropped to the ground, the sigil vanishing and the red aura around her dying down. Jason stood over her body, a long piece of wood in his hand which he used to knock her out. He looked over at Bianca who was on the floor her hands over her ears. He ran over to her.
He knelt next to her and held her, "Bianca its over, you're ok" Bianca threw herself into his arms and grabbed him tightly, she began sobbing. Jason didn't say anything more he just held her and looked over at Mirabelle, her horn had vanished but that feeling of something evil being there with them didn't leave.
"What in the world just happened." he said softly as he looked up at the sky. He placed his head on Bianca's and continued to comfort her.
_________________________________________________Mirabelle slowly opened her eyes, disoriented by the lights above her she tried raising her hand up but wasn't able to move it. She looked down, she had been tied down to a rack and Jason was sitting across from her staring at her intently. She didn't have to ask, she already knew what had happened.
"No..." she said as her voice broke, she closed her eyes trying to contain the tears as she slowly began to sob.
Jason raised an eyebrow as he saw her beginning to cry, he got up and walked towards her.
"Stop... no stay away from me." she said.
The tears rolling down her face, "I'm a monster Jason, just kill me and get it over with already. It's only a matter of time before I change over again."
Jason continued walking towards her, slowly. He looked at her, her short red hair sprawled across the pillow and her face, the tears running down her cheeks, and her soft green eyes staring at him.
"Jason... I am so sorry... please just kill me... you and Bianca were the two people I never wanted to see me like that and now... I'm just so sorry." She said softly, she closed her eyes as the tears continued coming down.
She didn't want to continue like this, this curse always took everything she ever loved away from her. It had always made her someone to be scared of and is why she had to isolate herself while growing up. At times she really just wanted it all to be over.
Jason leaned over and wiped her tears with a small piece of cloth, she opened her eyes surprised and looked him in the eyes. He moved closer, she began to blush from embarrassment and surprise.
"You're not a monster." he brushed the small strands of hair from her face, "You're my friend and my teammate, and we're going to help you." he smiled warmly at her.
She began crying again, for the first time in her entire life apart from the Academy's headmaster she found someone who actually wanted to help her. Jason held her hand, "But you need to help us understand what is going on, we need to know everything Mirabelle. Absolutely everything." he said.
She nodded, "I understand, I will tell you everything."
