Chapter 1 - Prologue

Never. Throughout the 2 years of them attending the College, never had he noticed her. Sure she was pretty and smart too, she even had many guys asking her out, all of which she declined, however, he was never one of them. Kim Jong In, her crush. Except he prefers to be referred to as 'Kai' instead of his legal name. He would never even look at her... until now. Why was he suddenly being nice to her now, after 2 years he's finally noticed her?

(Y/N)'s POV

I entered the College campus and made my way through the corridor, heading towards my locker, the infamous Kai was also there. He was well basically the prince of the College, well that sounds quite ridiculous but in all honesty, it was true. One, he was rich I Mean his father's a CEO! Two, He's very handsome, VERY HANDSOME. Three, He's amazing at both singing and dancing. And four, I am not joking when I say 98% of the girls attending this College has a crush on him, unfortunately I am one of those girls, I guess you can say it was love at first sight?

Well, anyhow I made it to my locker and did the usual. I took my sketch books and pencil cases out and placed them into my backpack. If it wasn't obvious already, I study art in College, Graphic Design to be exact.

Once I had finished packing, I zipped up my bag and closed my locker. I began to walk towards the Library, where I meet my friends every day. However, this meant walking passed Kai and his friends and so I did.

"Hey (Y/N)." Kai waved to me with a small smile on his face as I walked passed.

'Omg Senpai just noticed me Omg Senpai just noticed me!' Was all that was running through my mind at this moment.

"Um . Hello Kai-ssi." I stuttered as I gave him a 90 degree bow, then lifting myself to give him a small smile of my own before continuing on with my journey to the Library.

After a few minutes, once the heat had left my once flushed cheeks, I had made it to the Library. I opened the door to reveal a bunch of students doing their own thing and to my right I saw my two friends sitting at a table, speaking to one another, with their backs to me.

"Ah. There you guys are." I mumbled to myself as I approached that same desk and sat opposite the two. Rosè and Chanyeol. They have both been my friends since high school, in fact, Rosè has been my friend since middle school. We all have our secrets but we are not secretive to each other, for example, they are fully aware about my little crush on Kai.

"(Y/N) ah. Good morning!" Rosè greeted me once she had noticed my presence.

"Good morning (Y/N)." Chanyeol also greeted.

"Good morning you two. You would never guess what happened just before I got here." I slightly squealed as I held my cheeks, feeling them warm up once again.

"Judging by the way you're acting I guess it's safe to assume it's related to Kai." Rosè chuckled slightly.

"Mhm." I nodded. "I took my things out of my locker and all that good stuff and I walked passed Kai in order to get here and when I did, he waved at me and said hi. He was the first one to engage in conversation! You don't even understand what my heart is going through right now!"

"Woah. You go girl." Encouraged my supporting friend, Rosè. Someone who knows just how little Kai interacts with me.

Chanyeol however seemed to not be as supporting in this subject. "Um I don't see why you're all so giddy about this, he just said hi. You know that doesn't mean anything right?"

For a split second there was silence between the three of us. Wow Chanyeol, way to ruin the mood.

"You wouldn't understand Chanyeol, you're not a girl." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Did you just assume my gender?" Chanyeol asked as he looked at me with a serious expression, causing me to raise an eyebrow.

"*Gasp* How could you (Y/N)?!" Rosè over exaggerated, going along with Chanyeol's joke.

"Yah whatever." I sighed.

Just then the bell had rung and everyone began leaving the Library and all started heading towards their respected classrooms. Unfortunately all three of us were in different classes as we took different courses. Rosè took a beauty course, which I'd say is very fitting, her appearance is one thing she cares about more than anything, well besides family and friends of course. While we may be in different classes, I am glad she took that course as she knows how to give the best massages.

Chanyeol however takes a music course, he's just as good at singing as Kai, and good at rapping too. Did I mention he could play the guitar, he's a very talented young man. Oh wait, that makes me sound like his grandmother or something.

After a good 5 minutes I finally made it to my classroom, which was on the other side of the campus, I do a lot of exercise every day just walking to class!

In class I did what I've been doing in all my classes throughout the past week. My class has been assigned a project, to create three artist study sheets about three of our favourite artists and also to produce a copy of one of their pieces ourselves.

Time flies by when you're having fun. Clearly, as It's already lunch time. Almost immediately after the bell had gone, I left the classroom and made my way to the College's coffee shop, where I ordered myself a Cookie Dough Fracuccino which, might I say, is hella tasty.

Once I had received my order, I walked towards the Canteen, which was only around the corner. Once I had spotted Rosè and Chanyeol I walked over to the table of which they were sat at and sat down myself. Almost immediately I had Rosè offer me some of her baguette, but I declined. This was normal for me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not your 'typical girl on a diet'. In fact, I'm not on a diet at all, I love eating. It's just that College food is too expensive for me and I feel bad eating other people's food.

"Don't worry Rosè, I'll be sure to eat loads when I get home." I promised. Just then, someone approached our table and then in front of me was... a plate of pizza? I looked upwards to see who had put it there, only to lock eyes with Kai.

"I noticed you didn't get much to eat so here, have this." He said cooly before walking away, leaving Rosè, Chanyeol and I speechless with our mouths and eyes wide open in shock.

Rosè then sh00k her head, snapping herself back into reality. "Way to go (Y/N)! Sliding into the DMs just like that. I'm so proud." She exclaimed holding her hand up, waiting for a high five from me. I however, didn't return it due to the fact that I was in some sort of 'Omg Senpai noticed me again' trance and was too shocked to even function.

In order to save herself from awkwardness, Rosè high fived her own hand and went back to eating.

"Woah. I take back what I said in the Library. I totally ship you two." Chanyeol said as he munched on his burger.

"Same." I quietly agreed as I began to eat the pizza. Once we had all finished, we disposed of our rubbish and empty plates and headed towards our favourite spot, the Library. Why was it our favourite spot? Because of the good Wi-Fi signal there of course!

And so we spent the last 10 minutes of our lunch doing what we always do. Go on our phones like the anti social potatoes we are.

Once the 10 minutes had gone, we returned to our classes for another hour, for me this hour was spent doing nothing except research on artists... whoop whoop. But luckily for me, a day at College never lasts too long and before I know it, it's already 4:00pm and the bell had gone, signalling the end of the day and all students on the campus began making their way home.
