Chapter 9 - Kidnapper?

It was another day at work and I was serving customers as usual but then two familiar faces came in.

"(Y/N) noona !" Sehun exclaimed happily as he approached the counter along with Kai. "I didn't know you work here."

"Well I do." I said as I smiled back. "What do you two want?"

"Chocolate bubble tea!" Sehun said excitedly."

"I'll have the same please." Kai also said.

"Okay." I then turned around to start preparing their orders as they chose a table to sit at.

Once I was done making the two drinks, I walked over to their table and placed them in front of the two boys.

"Two chocolate bubble teas." I said as I placed them down.

"Ahhh. Thanks noona!" Sehun said happily as he took the plastic casing off of the straw and took a big slurp out of his drink.

"What's got him so happy today?" I asked Kai as he appeared to be normal.

"Hmm? Oh he has something he wants to ask you." Kai replied as he too took a sip of his drink.

Huh? How did that answer my question?

I then turned my head to Sehun, waiting for him to ask me the question.

"Ah that's right." He said before placing the plastic cup down. "I'm having a party next month for my birthday and you're invited. You can also bring a guest if you want."

"Oh. That's why you're excited today." I said as I chuckled. "Sure, I'll come."

"Yay. Oh and Rosè and Chanyeol are already invited so they don't need to be your guest if you bring one." Sehun added.

"Okay." I said before leaving them to return to my work.

Who else would I bring besides my two best friends? My mind then immediately drifted to Baekhyun.

I've never been to Sehun's parties before but him and Kai's other friends always have tons of people at their parties so it wouldn't be too weird if I invite Baekhyun would it?

I'll ask him later.

My shift was over and Sehun and Kai were still sat at the table. I took of my apron and hung it up.

"Guys were closing up now." I said.

"We'll help you clean up noona." Sehun said happily as him and Kai rose from their seats.

"Really?" I asked in disbelief.

"Sure." Kai said with a smile.

"Okay. You guys can clean the tables with me then." I said as I passed then all a damp cloth each.

A job which usually takes 10 minutes only took us about 4.

"Anything else we need to do noona?" Sehun asked as I grabbed my handbag from its peg.

"Nope, were done here. Now I just need to close up." I said as I took keys out of my bag.

Sehun and Kai both exited the cafè with myself following after. I then locked the door behind us.

"Bye noona." Sehun said as he gave me a hug.

"Bye Sehun, bye Kai." I said with a smile.

"Bye." Kai waved as the two walked away.

I then began walking in the other direction and a few moments later I made it home, where I noticed a shadowy figure standing outside my home playing on their phone.

I hid myself behind a nearby car as I watched the figure. He then looked upwards and around as though he was expecting someone, I then realised this 'shadowy figure' was Baekhyun.

I then approached Baekhyun with a smile. "What are you doing here Baekie."

"Waiting for you." He said as he locked his phone and put it in his pocket. "Why were you watching me from behind a car?"

"Ah you saw that?" I then felt my face heat up. "I thought you were a kidnapper at first.

"Haha." He laughed at me. "Do I look like a kidnapper to you?"

I look up to see Baekhyun doing an aegyo face. "Baekhyun ah, don't do that." I then hit his arm.

"Is my cuteness too much for you to handle?" He teased.

"Basically." I replied. "Why were you waiting for me anyway?"

"No reason really, I just wanted to hang out." He answered.

"Oh. Hey I want to ask you a question. Someone in my college named Sehun is throwing a party next month, you wanna come?" I asked.

"Sehun... as in one of Kai's friends?" Baekhyun asked in return. Well shoot, I forgot about the whole Baek and Kai thing.

"Um yeah." I said awkwardly as I looked away from Baekhyun.

"Have you been hanging around with Kai?" He asked again with a serious tone.

"...yeah." I then began to fondle with my hands.

He then sighed and brushed his hair back in frustration. "I'm not here to control you, you can do what you want but... you did promise me."

"I know I know it's just." I said desperately. "I was avoiding him but then an accident happened and I found out Kai's point of view on the whole situation and I don't think you should blame him."

"What?" Baekhyun said almost angrily.

"According to Kai, Taehyung... raped his girlfriend." I said.

Baekhyun's face then softened and he looked as though he knew what I was on about. "I knew that Taehyung had a huge crush on her and I knew something happened for Krystal to move away but I had no clue that happened. I guess it kind of makes sense."

"See. I'm not saying you have to be besties with Kai but I want you to acknowledge the fact that he's not entirely to blame and that he can't control his anger. Kai, even to this day regrets Taehyung's fate despite what he did." I said pleadingly.

"Okay." Baekhyun simply said. "I'll deal with him but only because you're asking me to." He then ruffled my hair and gave me a smile.

"Yay! Thank you!" I said as I hugged him, he then hugged back.

"I'll come to the party if you want me to." He said again.

"Yay!" I cheered again as I hugged him tighter. "It'll be fun with you their Baekie."

"Well of course." He said as he brushed his hair back. "Everything is instantly 10x better once I'm involved.
