Breaths came in fast bursts, her eyes alert as she kept her emerald eyes set on the ground. A constant weight pressed against her hip as she walked, a simple over the shoulder bag full of nessesities for her hike. Of course, she knew far too well that she would have to get used to the walking, the church wasn't so found of her little magic tricks, calling her somethig like a... a witch ? She could never remember honestly, despite having the name constantly yelled at her when she passed through familiar towns.

But meh, she was used to it.

Her name was Leia, not that any around her cared to know it, they merely stuck with the mocking. Leia had never truely cared for the opinions of others, but knew far too well that if she dared to stay in her little town, she was going to be strapped to a stake and burned alive within a blink of an eye. An ending she in no way wanted for herself.

And so, here she was, truthfully lost within one of many overgrown forests, continuing to walk despite the consant ache of her legs. It felt odd, the ache of her body did not spread to her heart, Leia felt a certain calmness through it all. But, of course, nothing lasts forever, as within a second Leia felt rain start to pour. Not being a fan for being wet, the pale female was forced to run to the nearest shelter she could find; a tree.

A simple mistake mind you, as the rain was soon followed by a large gush of wind, sending the rain down towards her regardless of what lay above her pastel purple head. Feeling soaked to the bone, the female took this moment to look around for a safer place to stay until the flash storm was over, or at least until she was dried off. Her eyes then fell to a cave only ten or so metres away, a cave so perfect that in normal circumstances Leia wouldn't dare to trust it.

But she did. Breaking into a run, the young woman  dashed to the cave, entering it without a second glance. A sigh left her pale lips, who knew running away from your timely death could be such a hassle ?

Quick to move, Leia removed her white long sleeve blouse that was tucked into what seemed to be leather pants. Now stripped bare to her her under garments, the slender woman fetched  a rope from her bag, making a make shift clothes line so as to aid her clothes in drying; tying the ropes to different sides of the cave's jagged walls.

Her next thought was on warmth, bluntly refusing to have her body succumb to sickness so soon into her runaway journey. Of course, warmth meant fire, and with the storm going on outside,  she very much doubted that she'd be able to collect wood. Raising her hands to ring out the water from her oddly coloured hair, the female decided her next bet on something for her fire was deeper within the cave.

It was certainly still bright about, but simple things like light held no problem to her, as with a few mumbles under her breath and a deep blood drawing bite to her thumb, Leia was soon welcomed by the sight of her trusty.... well, honestly, Leia didn't know what to call the creature, a large wolf like beast that could take on any element (light, fire, water, etc)  that he desired to make up his body.

Leia never really gave him a proper name, but usually just called the now blanzingly light wolf ' Buddy '. With Buddy now padding along beside her, she felt far more comfortable searching for the required item; wood, and  preferably leaves to help aid the flame. 'Good luck' Leia thought to herself as she continued to walk, looking about the edges if the wall withthe aid of Buddy's light.

But when something rather odd caught her eye, Leia hadn't the clue on how to react to it. Deep scratches lined the cave, like some kind of giant beast was clawing for its freedom. Raising a hand to the claw marks, the female couldn't help but feel alarmed by the sheer difference in size,  who or what ever made these marks would be a massive beast, several times the size of the largest man no doubt.

Leia flinched, whispering words to Buddy so that his light element disappear,  instead replaced with a somewhat dull black pelt.

The noise was getting closer, the ominous noise that echoed off the walls, and seemingly through her body as though she wasn't there. The petite woman crouched over in her fear, using her hands to cover jer ears.

Click click cl-

The noise had stopped, no, had been cut off by somethig. But where ? And who ? And - huh ? a large puff of smoke was blown on her bare shoulder, making Leia raise her head to the sight of a single navy blue iris. A dragon.
